They missed Brad Smith last year--this is a good deal.

Does any team really get fooled by the Wildcat anymore? That thing died with that joke Sparano and the Dolphins 2 or 3 years ago...ARGHHH, forgot Jets hired Sparano FML!!!

As I just posted in the Giants sticky, I'm soooooooooooo pumped that he's with the Jets. I like him a lot. I just don't want him on the Giants or his fans anywhere near the team. Not to mention, whenever the Jets get all the attention the Giants get to fly under the radar and they typically are great when that happens. so thank you.

As for the Jets, I would bet big money they convert him into a running back

This is great because Sanchez sucks.

I can't believe Tebow is in our backyard.

Carmelo Anthony is ANTI-BASKETBALL

Would love him to start new career as pass catching H-back/Fullback/TE. And as Lockerroom pastor and minister.

The Jets offense played well when they inserted the Wildcat with Smith. I mean teams knew what was coming yet we were very successful with it. Sparano ran a lot of wildcat--I think with a Sanchez--it gives the team another look offensively and takes a little pressure off of Sanchez. Tebow is a perfect 4th round pick for the Jets--we can use him and we dont have to waste a pick on a back up. We know Tebow can start if needed and can run the Wildcat now. He also IMHO can play a wing back type position where he runs and goes out for passes at times. He is 6-3 245

Great deal cos he comes cheap but makes no sense since they just severely overpaid Mark Sanchez. I can see it already Tebow throws one 40yd pass and Sanchez continues to stink fans are going to go insane for starting tebow. I guess the Jets are ok with a $60mil backup QB! Anybody else like a brad smith and i agree can be useful as a change of pace and even as a RB

I guess it is relatively low risk pickup, and opens up the playbook again. The Wildcat is pretty much dead though. No successful team ran it. Brad Smith sucked balls in Buffalo. McKnight and Kerley ran it reasonably well, but no big plays really came out of it. The top teams in the playoffs: Giants, Pats, Niners, Saints, Texans, Steelers, Lions all had no traces of it in their playbook. Only Denver, but they ran something different, a Spread "Read Option" attack. Oh well, same ole Jets

deep breaths... I really think they'll make him a pure RB with some trick plays thrown in. He's great at that. It's just that he insists on being a QB.

The problem that you'll have though is the first bad game Sanchez has the Tebow fanboys will start buying billboards advertising that he should become the starting QB

That more than anything, the media crunch....hopefully it lights a fire in Sanchez to perform.

I had the same thought about the offense. Still don't know whether to laugh or cry about Tebow. I think the way he beat us in Denver had a lot to do with this signing.

They are already friends so I know they are going to team up and form a dynamic duo. Maybe start a movement.

Big time Jet fan. Not sure how to feel about this, as I was a bit Tebowed-out last year. Our biggest need is a QB who can make all the throws, and now we inherit a QB who can barely make any. Tebow is good for a change of pace player but, I'm not sure how much this helps. I guess it depends on how the Jets plan on using him.
