Coach Woodson is a genius!
with lots more of season left to prove & improve to make NBA playoffs.

You go with your BEST Players and he made a bold and correct statement decision to run offense & plays through MELO & AMARE

This puts all the earlier pressure OFF Jeremy Lin, places all the pressures back on its allstars /superstars and in turn
makes Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire work harder & work their butts off cause of the coach's public statement.

This in turn making MELO and Amare work harder enables the rest of teammates to work off their stars and takes the
tons of pressures placed on PG Jeremy Lin OFF of Lin (or Lin-sanity) this will only benefit young J.Lin since he's an
intelligent player to begin with.

Lin's mistakes/turnovers will improve and he can focus on improvements in his game which we've seen already in this 3 game
streak where Knicks wins are double-digit. Lin isn't deferring 100% again to STAT/Melo like he did while under MDA.

Amare and Melo has been force to improve their work hoop efforts all-around, that is what fans wanted to see (NOT Points/per game)

Knicks got long rest of season to go but the No-nonsense Mr. Woodson is a Genius for 3 games since taking over defensively
and offensively they've become the pain-in-the-neck to play with depth of talent we already known they had.

Don't knock Mike Woodson when he was as_istant defensive coach, the Knicks players primary were going to listen solely to coach MDA
is reason why Knicks defensive efforts was inconsistent and unstable under Michael 'Angelo' D'Antoni.

Well these current knick players listen solely now to coach Mike Woodson!

keep in mind and note something new if you've not seen it.

During few of the Knicks timeouts in Woodson games, Coach called timeouts not cause of Offense stalling.

This coach called timeouts to call "Defensive sets" and corrections of things ongoing in the game.

This was even pointed out by NYK announcers during the 1st Pacer game at Garden where Woodson didnt like something on defense and
the adjustments were specific to a type of defense he expects for what opposition is running.

Now when the "Devil dog" last time ? any of us Knick fans seen under Michael "Strahan" D'Antoni any timeouts for "D"efence adjustments or things in timeouts which had only to do with defense during quarters of the Knick games eh ?

Woodson looks like the right man for the job. ThIs team did not have enough high percentage shooters to run MDA's offense. We needed to go back to a more structured offense.

I was at the game on Friday night at MSG and all I can say is Woodson has a major presence on the sideline. He stands and is very noticeable, he is very vocal with the team yelling out instructions/adjustments. I really liked seeing that.

It looks like he is pretty engaged and the team is listening.

Thats an excellent pt.

The Woodson era, Mike let you know professionally win/lose or draw
he plans to get up these guys BUTTs until the end and its decided that NY makes the playoffs

Woodson was barking at them even when NY was up 15-20pts
I love it!

You see Knix get down in other games 2nd or 3rd Qtr under MDA
MDA has look like Match/Set/Pt & out

Like D'Antoni got the give up look on his mugg
Mike D was a good coach but NEVER EVER ever NY

you'll never convince me he was,
D'Antoni cricized fans when they booed Chris Duhon & JJeffies(old jared) he let me Know that D'Antoni think he was bigger
and better than NY city.

MDA wont have any lost sleep about Knicks state of affairs.
trust me on that one!

Good riddance!

I believe Woodson's the man for this job this season because he's very defensive minded (yay, love defense!), and by the love of nba gods, we got Lin to blossom, Amar'e and Melo to focus, and Chandler to be the threat, and Field's.. well.. look at our damn good bench (still not as good as what we had before the trade imho). Got the offensive power, and working our defense, and low turnovers. I also think not giving Lin's a lot of pressure like before might be good for him because so many legit starting point guards are trying to dethrone this newly crowned favorite point guard in the world. I believe Lin will turn into another Nash, maybe Stockton (one can hope, no?). Pressure on Melo and Amar'e will be good for this team, so let them run it.
