Yep

I enjoyed finally getting a win & hope for a NBA playoff appearance just like everyone on this forum board.

What DJ didn't care for is dumping points & extra showboat pouring on whipping to Beaten already down & out Portland Blazers
Team which had their Bench players & coach Nate McMillan irate.

This is NBA and Pro sports you need to show some class.

I'm kinda surprised but shouldn't been that leaders Coach Woodson, nor Melo Anthony nor Amare (fake) had something inside
of them to perhaps talk among each other to try to tell bench role players to cut it out & stop embarrassing the other
team in a game already out of control 10min left in 4th Quarter

With this I am embarrassed as Knick fan which to me tarnished an already good night & must win Victory.

This is not the kind of thing that goes alway (Showing no class) and definitely you can bet
will come back and BITE Knicks in their arrr_ssses one day soon regardless if make playoffs OR not.

You also got to know other NBA teams watch this kind of stuff and importantly get more DISRESPECT for NY
and the KNICKS club and Knicks dont need that! NYK need all the breaks they can get now

The NBA and most teams disdain losing to NY Knicks before,
and showing no class in games will even spread the talk-chitter chatter if Knicks need to get bumped from NBA playoffs
then this kind of classless showing does them no good in the short term.

Hope some will learn from this one day!
Iman Shumpert, JR Richards guys whom play hard but love to exhibit their CHUCK-NESS powers in game of street ball.

I Am no Mike D'Antoni fan but that kind of classless showing also shouldn't have occurred when several knicks coaches
lost their fulltime pro jobs

This is NBA we dont need it & I'm surprised!

NO Class in Knicks on night we didn't need it!

Did you happen to see the hard frustration foul Camby put on Fields in the 3rd Q? It was called a flagrant 1, but could have easily been a flagrant 2. Quite frankly, I thought Camby was trying to get himself thrown out of the game and nearly killed Fields in the process. Portland got what they deserved for that classless act

It was not a good look. The showboat action reveals true character of our guys.

New beginnings are always fun.

Strong character and poise carries the day.

Jr Smith is that kind of player - a frontrunner and a showboater.

I really hope he doesn't have that influence on Iman.

Though I kind of understand that it was a stressful day and they were blowing off some steam.

Hope it doesn't become a thing with Iman. But I'm not expecting JR to change.

Iman is the young guy who will be influenced.

It's not good for him to slide into these ways.

But Iman strikes me as someone that will figure this out on his own; he has a strong heart.

AGREED
lots more folks saw that game besides the Blazers bench

You know NBA doesnt like our Knick team to begin with in the league.

Each and every team circles 'NY' on their calendar, its like coach says "DONT lose to them"

Each team almost plays Knicks every game like its Death Steel Cage match playoff game. All the time.

You get a feather in you cap when you BEAT a team from NY (nba, nfl, mlb, nhl)

The Knicks no class actions got them plenty more whippings in future by those who can administer WHIPPINGs!
LOL

Melo can take it, Amare Stoudemire will cry

maybe I am in the minority but I really don't care. I would have been different if they were starters going against the blazers bench. You can't cry that the knicks don't play hard and then when they do for 48minutes for once cry that they played to hard. The only thing I care about is wins. This is not aimed at anyone just saying in general.

I hear you about pouring on the extra points, but I think this team needed it more. I think they wanted and needed to win big. The Blazers can go cry in their Cheerios. It wouldn't be funny if this team toned it down and the Blazers made a comeback... I'd rather have a team that plays all 48 minutes every game and wants to beat the piss out of everyone. You can rest your stars, but every Knick that touches the court should be playing hard. Unhappy opponent? Make a stop. Make a hard foul. Make the Knicks want to run out the clock.

We've been on the receiving ends of whippings like this in the Marbury to Nate Era...those teams never toned it down and yucked it up on the bench til the end of the game.

Doc Rivers said it best when the Celtics were embarrased by Indiana earlier in the week:
When asked if he was mad that Indiana was runing up the score he responded..
That is exactly what they should be doing. Their 2nd unit is out there and these guys don't get much playing time. They have to do what they can in the time they are given.

That is absolutely true. Mike Breen can go suck an egg if the Knicks blowing out an opponent is too much for him to take.
Ridiculous that anyone would complain about a blowout win after the chaotic season we have been through.

I wouldn't mind going back to the days of being hated like during the days of Oakley and Mason. Enough of this soft West coast Wuss ball.

Whatever "class" this organization had just walked out the door before the game was played.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I think Clyde said it best, it's the back ups we already called the dogs off.

You can't cry about not being able to stop the other teams backups.

This comment is right on the money. Backups get paid to practice and play once called upon too. What are they supposed to do, just dribble out the clock, and not play?

Agree. Also, the Knicks had lost 6 straight and their coach had just resigned mid season. I don't see anything wrong with how they closed it out.
