So the first game of the woodson era looked good.
I love how by the end of the 1st quarter everyone had played (bibby doesnt count), meaning at no opint in the game did someone look or play tired. Melo took smart shots. the ball movement was amazing.
Yes the trailblazers are a struggling team , but in the nba, a win is a win, and when its by 42, its a statement!
Alot of ppl here wanted d'antoni lynched, then the guy leaves and alot of you wanna cry.
STFU!
The guy was stubborn, was never open to new ideas. Lets be serious, the discovery of LINSANITY was more a miracle of god than it was d'antoni.

The next couple of games we play indiana twice and the sixers again, we could make up some ground. Boston just lost wilcox for the rest of the season. Can ellis and jennings co-exist?

Yes Im aware every night wont be a 42pt win, but it is a positive sign

It was one game and I will take the win. Your opinions are understandable but to say he was never open to new ideas without valid facts simply weakens your point.

"So the first game of the woodson era looked good." - I think we can thank MDA for selecting the right/day to drop the bomb

"I love how by the end of the 1st quarter everyone had played (bibby doesnt count), meaning at no opint in the game did someone look or play tired." - I liked the substitutions and play calling from Woodson. I think it will bring some stability and familiarity...no more stumbling and bumbling :)

"Melo took smart shots. the ball movement was amazing." They always look good when playing with a lead, which isn't very often. It's when we get behind that the hero mentality takes hold and they just dig deeper holes to climb out of...with confidence in the system, hopefully that will change, but I don't expect that this will be the norm against good teams.

"Alot of ppl here wanted d'antoni lynched, then the guy leaves and alot of you wanna cry.
STFU!" - it's more the love of Linsanity and the reality that it is gone for good now. No one wants to go back to iso ball...it's boring to watch and I think we're all a little concerned that 'iso Joe' is coming in the form of 'iso Melo'

"The guy was stubborn, was never open to new ideas. Lets be serious, the discovery of LINSANITY was more a miracle of god than it was d'antoni." - but he was also a class act and popular with the players....Now we have a good core, some young talent and we don't need a coach who will win popularity contests...we need accountability and I give Woodson an edge over MDA in that department.

"The next couple of games we play indiana twice and the sixers again, we could make up some ground. Boston just lost wilcox for the rest of the season. Can ellis and jennings co-exist?" - The wheels can easily fall off the bus again if we lose 2 to Indy.Marc Berman is praying right now that we lose so he can be relevant and write drama filled headlines with unknown sources....hold the presses, we need these wins bad!

"Yes Im aware every night wont be a 42pt win, but it is a positive sign" - The Knicks don't deal well with prosperity :)

BTW - I have no tears for the Celts loss of Wicox. I thought the play where he rolled up Shumpert's leg and injured him was dirty and intentional. He can go effin' rot. I hope he never plays again. That was a thug play.

If you look at the remaining schedules of the teams we're closest to in the standings, we may have a better chance of surpassing Boston than Milwaukee. We have 2 left against Milwaukee which are must wins. But Milwaukee overall has a very east schedule remaining.

Boston on the other hand has incredibly tough games left. They still have 4 road games left on their current swing. A few easier games to finish the month. But to start April they have 7 straight against playoff teams: Miami, SAS, Chi, Ind, Phi, Mia, ATL. And then to close the month they have NYK, ORL, ATL, Miami, Milwaukee.

Unless Boston really has a nice run they're in danger I think. One thing is for sure, we MUST finish a few games above .500.

Are we really gonna add a Woody emoticon or not? I think that would be great! Woody is a good guy. It's not his fault that things went down the way they did. I hope he can secure the permanent job if the team wins.

Mike Woodson isn't a hall of fame coach, nor is he known for a specific philosophy when it comes to coaching.

But to me, he understands the importance of defense and expects his guys to play hard.

Such a breath of fresh air to no longer hear "we just didn't hit shots" on a nightly basis.

I wish coach Woodson tremendous success.
