7) Nate McMillan (under contract, but more likely to be let go by Portland)
8) JVG (longshot, but hey, worth a mention)

Keep Calipari away from this team.

Ewing is too fresh and untested for a team with this much expectations. We need a coach with pedigree.

Phil Jackson is interesting with the triangle between Melo Amare Tyson Shump & Lin
Sloan is interesting cos of pick in roll with Lin/Davis and Amare/Tyson/Melo and attention to fundamentals both defensively and offensively
Tom Thibideau Maybe the Bulls struggle again to score in the playoffs and are upset despite being the #1 seed and takes the money from Dolan

forgot about JVG but doubt he would ever work for Dolan again

and Doc would be great if he bolts on the aging Celtics to coach his former team. But he was signed last year to a longtern deal

Ah missed that news. Thought his contract was up this year.

I do know Thibs has yet to receive an extension, and we've won a bidding war in the past against cheap Chicago. They probably will extend him eventually but for now, he tops my list. I want to see the Knicks become a top 3 defensive team more than bringing in an old HoF coach who may not have the fire in him.

I say let old chubby arse melo coach... he can just call his own number everytime down.. because we all know if he is asked to play the game within a team concept then he will just sulk, suck and the coach will either be forced to quit or be fired...

yes, and against the toughest competition they've faced all year! for a minute i thought the blazers were gonna blow us out!

melo has a lot to prove right now. i hope he knows that. average 7 assists and lead this team to the 6th seed for starters, please. melo has nothing holding him back now, right? nothing to prevent him from being a superstar, right? now that he was able to completely undermine the entire team to get what he wanted (for the second time in a year, mind you.). melo should be able to dominate now and lead us to the playoffs and maybe even a win in the playoffs now, right? because nothing can stop him now?
