At least Howard is insightful enough to sign as a free agent to keep assets on the team...unlike the city's favorite son (I'm coming home...).

To be fair, it's a different situation. Melo wanted to get that guaranteed contract before a lockout and a new CBA affected his potential contract. Melo did what was best for Melo, and I can't blame him. The Knicks were the ones to make themselves hostages.

And let me see Dwight sign that contract before we anoint him NJ's savior.

Wojo's article is along the lines if What I have been saying for months. IM not taking credit for anything.

And key to all of this was Dolan spending his cap on Melo that allowed Deron to go for a discount, and while billups amnisty was not quite enough to sign Dwight, it was a big chunk. Not that I am complaining about chandler at all.

Just that you could have had a front line of Amare-Dwight-fields with Cp3 in the back court.

Little jimmy had to spend his money in the toy store. The russian is playing Dolan like a barbie doll.

I'm legitimately asking myself now why I shouldn't just switch allegiance and buy season tickets for the Brooklyn Nets instead of the Knicks (especially because of the money we pay for Knick tickets).

I would never actually do this b/c I'm a diehard Knicks fan....but still, I ask myself why I'm being this stupid and staying with this franchise when our owner is an absolute dumbass and obviously doesn't care about the fans.

Dj may have had the right idea when he went for the Raptors...

"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

Someone posted several days ago that Russians learn to play chess before they can walk. That's great.

I ask myself why I'm stupid enough to stay with the Knicks too. Dwight Howard in Brooklyn is Dolan's worst nightmare.

The sad part is:

If we keep Billups and Amnesty Amare at seasons end, we "possibly" coulda had Dwight/DWil.

OUCH!!

Its ironic that this isn't a problem anymore as the Knicks restocked their team successfully. Unfortunately the problem now isn't the supporting cast, but the main "star".

I know!! If MDA had any balls, he would bench Melo for the rest of the season we would go back to playing .800 ball and possibly get to the Finals and then, who knows what could happen. Maybe we win the whole effin thing!!

Pitty he has no balls! I wish he had the balls!

LOL! Your sarcasm is quite colorful. I think us Linsanity believers would be fine with a .580 record up to the point we were at 17-17, considering the schedule.

But of course, who cares about a winning record when you can admire the bright star of Carmelo. Those isolation plays are a beauty, especially the ones where he is double teamed, dribbles into the defense and bricks a jumpshot.

Bah, Linsanity was nothing compared to the brilliance of Melobury!

.580? That is reasonable :-)

Though I am not a Melo fan and never was (aside from his days at Syracuse), I will try to remember him as the perennial first team all-star who has the exact same career offensive number / OFFENSIV EFFICIENCY as Kobe Bryant.

However, I will always yearn for the Kobe intensity that Melo does not have at the defensive end. I will also close my eyes and dream that Phil Jackson can sail in here and right this chaotic ship.

Oh, I forgot! PJAX SUX - HE ALWAYS HAD THE GREAT PLAYERS! oh wait, those great players never won without him!! Oh, and when MJ was out, how did PJAX do? AH WHO CARES ABOUT THAT PJAX SUX! MELO SUX! STEVE KERR SUX! WOODSON SUX! MDA ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no need to end some good old-fashined sarcasm!

Why stop? The party has already started. Its Melo Time with a lil bit of Stat sprinkled on top. Lin has obviously fallen off the map as the D-Leaguer he really is. Anybody can have an 8-1 (actually .890) stretch in a while, especially with a shorthanded Knicks team. Just ask MElo! Oh, wait!

But the point is, Melo is awesome. He is great. He simply is. Thats why I think everybody here is overreacting to this losing streak. Who needs wins when you have... wait for it... MELO!!! Don't understand all the booing by the fans. Do they actually expect a win? Just when you saw Melo the Great? Bah, can't have it both ways, guys! Its either Melo or wins. Amd who cares for the record! Bah!

Be thankful he chose to be traded back home.

Melo is amazing just by being Melo. We don't need wins to prove this; we don't even need the game to end! We just need a dangling score at or about 50-48, and we will be happy.

I'm not sure. Some crazy guy that got a bunch of bench warmers into some winning streak. I think Disney got the rights for the movie but the screenwriter is having trouble with a character they might just kill off the story. They say guy ia from Brooklyn.
