Trade Amare+Melo for Dwight Howard + (whoever)

Would this really be worse than what we have now?

The money doesn't work out with that trade. and where would you put chandler PF?

Sigh, this is just desperate brainstorming before the deadline...on defense the twin towers could work like what the Lakers have in Bynum/Gasol...on offense two very effective post players for Lin to PnR, with the other to attack the rim...

It won't work Gasol can step out and hit the jumper. Chandler and Howard can't step out and hit a jumper.

I'd trade Melo to Sacramento for Marcus Thornton, JJ Hickson and their 1st rd. pick.

I think Sac would do it too. They need to fill up that new arena whenever it's built.

Outgoing : Melo, Stat
Incoming : Dwight, JJ Reddick, Kwame Brown

Orlando Magic
Outgoing : Dwight, JJ Reddick
Incoming : Melo, Monta Ellis

GS Warriors
Outgoing : Monta Ellis, Kwame Brown
Incoming : Stat

Note: I think this is very doable and helps all teams. Magic would not get anything better than Melo and Monta for Dwight.

Why would GS or anyone take on Stat's contract?

I don't know why these threads and scenarios pop up everyday when its not possible!

NOBODY WILL TAKE STATS CONTRACT.

i'd be concerned that neither tyson nor dwight could consistently hit a 10-ft jumper.

It wouldn't be ideal because of the offensive chemistry between Dwight/Tyson as several others have pointed out....with that said, I'd gladly take it over what we currently have.

Defensively, Tyson + Dwight combo makes us an elite defensive team and the hope is that with Melo/Amare gone, you can get Lin to play a bigger role offensively (as he did during the winning streak) and surround him with shooters at the 2 and the 3.

We'd be a better team than we are today at least....
