One of the reasons why I think Fields and Melo don't work as a 2 and 3 combination is that both are not the quickest with their feet. you have to double sometimes, and the Knicks get burned when they have to get back from a help situation. JR is much faster, but not really playing well at all. Shump also faster.

And when Novak was in there, they kept using his man to pick which left us in a mess.

First, we needed to have Shump on Rose in the 4th. Lin was good, but Shump is much much better.

Third, Jeffries clearly would have been an improvement over Stat on the boards. We would have given up scoring but the Bulls won on second chance (and 3rd and 4th) points. I'm not as concerned about our offense.

Outside of the boards, we need to throw the ball into a posted up Melo more often. He can pass it out to an open Stat (like last night was working). We are seeing the team come around better. Melo needs to get in position to get the ball better in the 4th. If you noticed he was often on the opposite side as the pg was and it wasn't a good or even possible position to get him the ball. He just needs to rotate or come to the ball. That hurt in the 4th as he was playing good. The Bulls didn't have much of an answer for his or Stats offense and we got away from it. Coach needs to step in there AND what was with leaving STat, Lin and Melo on the bench so long in the 4th. Rose and company came back in much sooner. (like 3 mins)
