I demand a victory from the Knicks tomorrow, or I am done with them for the rest of the year. The 2 weeks of Linsanity brought me back to watching the Knicks every night and actually caring about NBA basketball. The only reason I tuned in to that first Lin Net game was because I thought D'Antoni would get fired if he lost. That was the most inspiring performance by a "scrub" that I had ever seen. Then I was teased with two of the most memorable weeks of basketball I can remember as a Knick fan. Inspiring team play that culiminated in WINS. 2 weeks later I am back to watching them underachieve.

I understand the frustration and I will be ANGRY if they lose, but unless this team doesn't make the playoffs, I really can't live only from game to game. I'm looking at this team making the playoffs and playing well once they get there. Everything leading up to that is about this team getting it's act together.

AT this point where they finish is less important to me. I want to see this team prepared and ready to play in the playoffs. One loss or win is meaningless in the overall scheme of things.

If they don't win tomorrow...I predict they do not make the playoffs.

The underachieving regular season play from this team is very reminiscent of the 99 Knicks team. The frustation the fans shared is very similar to what we are experiencing now. I think it was the last week of the season, just before the playoffs and Mike and the Madd Dog were ripping the Knicks, saying we needed to blow the team up and start from scratch.

Van Gundy was on deck to get fired as soon as the Knicks got eliminated from the playoffs. Fans were calling for Spree and Houston to get traded becaue they couldn't play together. Ewing was old. Larry Johnson was shot. And Marcus Camby was soft. Then, it all came together in the playoffs. Let us hope....

If only....another "Giants story". Look...the Knicks are gonna be in the 8th seed or not in at all. They will need to be "Giant" killers...like the Giants.

The Knicks are gonna pass the Celtics. BOOK IT!!! The C's are old and getting ready for an 8 game road trip with bac2bacs. I think they will drop some games and the Knicks will be able to pass them for the 7th seed.

That's not to say they can't get higher, i'm merely stating that I do expect them to at least pass by the Celtics. To be honest the seeding isn't the end all be all for this team. The most important thing is for them to figure out how to win as a team. Once they get everyone going this team will be one of the toughest teams in the playoffs.

Don't get it twisted. The Knicks are not gonna be a team that other teams are chomping at the bit to play in the playoffs. The regular season and the playoffs are totally different animals. Even as a 7th or 8th seed the Knicks would be a dangerous team. We'd be just as deep as any team and just as talented, with the potential for an explosion by any number of our players. You won't know if either STAT or Melo or JLin or Baron etc. might go off.

This team is losing games by killing themselves, much more than by other teams actually outclassing them. At full strength this team can compete with any team in the league!!!

You're kidding right? This team isn't really outclassed by any other team in the league. Not talent wise. The Knicks just haven't really all been playing well at the same time nor playing with chemistry since they added Melo, Baron & JR. The lack of chemistry is a temporary problem solved by playing and practicing more together. This team will be better by the end of the season. At that time the Knicks will be a tough out in the Playoffs.

The team has All Star scorers, size, speed and athletic ability, 2 excellent PG's, and great depth. Who would want to play us in a 7 game series??? What happens if our shooters get hot, which they most certainly can? What if they finally develop real chemistry with the 10 man rotation? There are 26 more games left to fix all the little issues and i'm confident that most of it will be fixed.

Do you know how many games this team has played with JLin, Baron & JR in the mix with STAT, Melo & Tyson? 6 games all together since Tyson has missed the last 2. It may seem like this team has played a lot of games together, but in truth they haven't. Due to injury and some guys just getting here this team hasn't really had a lot of time together to develop chemistry.

That's going to change over time and by the end of the year things will no doubt be a lot different. They'll have been thru a lot more games together by then.

the quoting was getting too big. Do you know how many games this team had played with J-Lin before Melo came back from injury?
And what was our W-L total during that period when J-Lin started playing?

So wait... he had instant chemistry with Melo out and his chemistry waned with the team when Melo came back?
i would ask you to submit that to professional basketball analysts (who do that for a living) all over the world and do i need to tell you what response you'd get?
