Wow wouldnt that be something eh ? embarrasing considering knicks depth
dont think there been no mention of NJ overtaking NY for playoffs in thread(s).

The Knicks gotta play over .500
The cross-town NJ Nets gotta only play a respectable .500 or near it.

Both teams only has to worry about Milwaukee Bucks whom will falter and fade.
These NJ NETs can get 8th spot and has only real pro coach in our city (Avery Johnson).

Coach Avery Johnson has excuses.
Coach Michael-Jackson D'Antoni has no excuses. NONE, Zippo, zilch.

Only thing works vs. NJ Nets is they play better vs some stronger NBA teams than vs. weakest teams in league,
where Knicks used to play best vs weak teams but cannot beat nobody anymore.

We Knicks dont win big regular season games around here.
Knicks cant even beat ST JOHNs Redstorm these days, other Da' Garden tenants.

Amazing, check the schedules
(March)
NJ Nets sched:
Home Gm; Away;
Rockets Magic
Bucks Hawks
Raptors Warriors
Hornets Kings
Cavs Lakers
Wiz Blazers
Bobcats 76ers
Jazz Bucks
Pacers Raptors

(April)
NY Knicks sched:
Home Gm; Away;
76ers Pacers
Pacers 76ers
Raptors Raptors
Pistons Hawks
Bucks Pacers
Magic Magic
Cavs Bulls
Bulls Bucks
Wiz Nets
Heat Cavs
Celtics Hawks
Clippers Bobcats

What a collapse this would be!
Of all teams NJ Nets 4 1/2 out of final 8th nba spot.

I could care less about the Nets or any other team right now. As you say, its embarrassing that with the talent we have we suck so much. If we keep playing like this, it won't really matter what happens with the Nets.

Right now I'd rather trade Amar'e and Melo for Dwight just to go back to the Linsanity days.

Stat records dont lie

The prior past games Knicks should had beat
Bobcats at home (Loss)
Raptors at home (Loss)
SUNs at home (Loss)
Bucks at home (Loss)
Hornets at home (Loss)
CAVs on road (Loss)
NJNets at home (Loss)

Say its improbable NY would have gone 7-0 vs these teams, all nba team lose games.

But If D'Antoni was any good & NY went 5-2 in above games at least
Instead of current 18-22 NY could have been 23-17 with this rough road trip (failed).

Coach will eventually go at season end, if NY doesnt make playoffs nor win few games to

I hope you are joking. How can you root against the Knicks as a knicks fan, regardless of who is on the team? Might be time for you to consider another team where you like the players. If you were serious, i am embarassed that you consider yourself a fellow Knicks fan.

It's hard to be a Knicks fan when they spit on you with Carmelo.

Give us Linsanity back and send Melo packing.

Dolan hates me, so now I hate this team.

It's a difficult period for me personally.

Look I want Linsanity to come back too
he hasnt lit it up but always appreciate JLins effort and work ethic for 4 qtrs

But to Blame all this entirely on MELO isnt fair.
Amare, MDA and Melo shares in blame then follow with rest of Knickerbocker roster players
perhaps following their leaders and playing WAY TO WAY too too marshmallow soft

It's frustrating for everyone, but that doesn't mean you root for the Nets. Still way to early to assume that this isn't going to work with Melo on the roster.

I am a big advacate of history/what has worked in the past. With very few exceptions, most NBA teams who won a championship had a top 10 NBA scorer. Maybe most of them are more complete then Melo, but he is as good a scorer as they come. What alternative solution is there in finding a top NBA scorer? Players like that don't grow on trees. You try to win based on what has worked in the past, not create some new formula. History says a player like Anthony is needed to win a championship, and what you put around him determines how far you make it. Take it for what its worth, but keep faith that it can work.

What gets me is that the team minus STAT and Melo looked like a real team and actually beat weak teams and good teams. So when that was happening we just ignore how the team played and don't give MDA any credit for the team playing great D. Yes Lin was out of his mind, but really it wasn't just him. We see even now that the team has performed better when our stars have been on the bench. So naturally it makes the case that STAT and Melo have to step up and not allow the team to be out played in the 1st and 3rd qtr of games when they're on the floor!!!

Regardless of coaching Stars lift the team when they're on the floor, not drag the team down!!! So what's the deal here?

I think they are scared to be themselves. They know this is a no-win situation for them. They don't fit together as it is. I think Melo still has a chance to make it work, and i am now unsure about Stoudemire. Build this team around Melo, Lin, and Chandler with good two-way role players and you will see results in the long-term.

These guys are stuck with each other cuz no one is taking on STAT's contract. One we signed STAT he was ours for the next 4 years. STAT and Melo can be on the same team, but it's not always a good thing for them to be on the floor together. They create too many holes on D and too much congestion on O. At least if you have Tyson playing it does.

I think this will actually work in the long term, cuz I think MDA is figuring out how to make it work. He's got some things that clearly work well and things that don't. This is a very difficult thing to do on the fly like this. When you have 11 guys that need to play. Lin, Fields, Melo, STAT & Tyson - Baron, Shump, JR, Novak, Jared & Jorts

I think the coach is fired regardless of what the team does.

I've never seen a system go threw so many ups and downs based on 1 or 2 players.

Stats Mvp then he is scum without DG, WC, RF.

Lin is Nash 2.0 then he is reluctant because of CA, AS.

Melo comes out on fire first 6 games then he is trade bait.

JR plays great for 3 games then looks like he never played a game of BBall this year the longer he is here.

Fields is constantly on a roller coaster.

TD is lost in space after being one the best from the three point line last year.

The break down in almost every players on the team is for some reason or another, I find that very, very hard to believe. You can't just keep writing of everything that goes wrong as a separate case of 80percent of the team not getting what the coach wants to do.

i didn't realize the coach was on the floor playing ball.

you're 150% right
its the players and up to the players.

Its hard though to divorce Mike D'Antoni from the whole affair.
Its like things cant be too perfect for Mike to actually have 4 qtrs of good play and decisions

My point goes back to Celtics Game.
1st game of season (beantown) 89-91 loss Knick giveaway, fine in Boston.

Series 1-1

3rd game of series the Knicks up by 3 with 10 sec left.
Whole world knew P.Pierce getting the ball. Mike D'Antoni ? played Pierce straight up

Any other coach ? they would force Pierce to pass OR foul him while Knicks up by 3,
wouldnt let Pierce beat/tie the game. Let another Celtic have the pressure

That is the use I have for the useless Mike D'Antoni
Gets outcoach by the good ones (Doc Rivers/Celtics and get outcoached by the not so good ones (Scott Skiles)/Bucks

Now how come a coach cant make a difference sometimes ?

The Nets? The god damn Nets?! Look, if this is just a ridiculously exaggerated point to say "Hey, we need to start winning some games here!" then sure, I'm on board. But the NETS?!

We just went through a week of crap, but if 14-27 New Jersey passes us by playing .500 ball, then we deserve to be sitting at home in May. Let's worry about ourselves before even giving that swamp-dwelling, Kardashian-marrying, 2nd class team an afterthought.

Happy Saturday UK.
