The only good thing that could come out of this mess is Melo demanding a trade. We could get some nice young players and have some cap space. Although melo might have sunk his trade value down a little. Its funny how when we make a tarde the other team always gets the best fo it and we get screwed

Believe you me if Melo demanded a trade (I wouldnt blame him! for way NY treats him)
none of that would fix Knicks real issues..

I agree with this. Melo isn't helping us, but trading him for young pieces and cap space solves nothing.

Shocker another Melo post out of Jcrusher. I bet if I google your name and Melo I get about 10 pages worth of post.

How has NY treated Melo bad?

We gave him everything he wanted. The got the trade and the money. He got the city. We adored him, showered him as a hero, we put him as the face of the franchise.

I doubt we trade him anytime soon nor will he ask for it.

Melo came back to a no win situation for him. It is definitely a lot of his fault, but i don't think trading him solves any problems. I would trade Stoudemire way before i trade Melo. When you look at championship teams, most have a scorer like Melo. Whether or not he is a complete player is irrelevent to that fact.

Stat is really tought to tarde withotu giving away other assets as well. Yes weve hears melo si a great scorer but he need to do more. lebron and wade are great scorers as well maybe better but they play great defense rebound and get others involved. I mean its not like we are hating on melo for no particular reasosn. If we were winning then nobody would have a bad word to say about at least not too much. but the proof is in the pudding. When melo was hurt we were the hottest team in the league and since he has come back we have won like 2 games.

I agree with you to an extent. I just believe there are many other factors preventing us from winning that don't involve Melo. It is partially because of him, but moreso because of timing. And i also believe that if Melo was back right now, but Stoudemire was hurt and someone else was starting in his place, we would have seen some different results these part few games. The makeup of this team won't allow Melo to excel. The Melo/Stoudemire project may be over, but the Melo, Lin, and Chandler project can still be successful. Pick and roll offense with a sprinkle of the isogame, especially when plays break down. I just no longer see where Stoudemire fits, considering he contributes nothing on defense, and i think we are seeing that be a big factor involved.

The thing that makes me angry about Melo is I'm sure we could find players to do what he's doing for this team for ALOT less money. We traded the house for him to make us better and right now, I'm not seeing it. We're still an average team, only difference is we trump tight in cap space.

Yea, you got these guys that are dazzled by the "STARBALLS"; "Oh, you need STARS! to win!! DON'T YOU KNOW??"

But they don't realize they've just been hooked with the line and the sink by the NBA advertising arm. They took the cookies and now they're confusing the razzle dazzle glossy images on a magazine and the slick website design, the HOOPLA, and they're confusing this with BASKETBALL, THE SPORT.

Silly bitches.

Nah, this team is better with Gallinari in Melo's spot. 150%.

Carmelo Anthony is ANTI-BASKETBALL

With the exception of Kobe, he is the most devestating 4th quarter/clutch player in the league. I don't think you can judge what he can do until the playoffs. Average players can't do what he does in the 4th quarter.

well you do realize taht there is a regular season before the playoffs and the goal is to win as many games as you can in the regular season this way we dont have to play the heat and bulls. also melo hasn't exactly been on fire in the playoffs besides one year where denver went to the WCF

well i never wanted the trade to go down. Now i didnt mind melo signing here as a FA this way we would have assets to get a either dwight or paul but Melo just couldnt wait and he had to have his money early

Do you really think that would make the Knicks better. Maybe it is the other way around. New York may be bad for Melo. If Melo leaves just be prepared to go through another 5 years of hell until we run another hopeful out of town. The man has not called any woman any names he hasn't been caught doing drugs, he has not been arrested. It's just New York fans chasing another good player out of town. In a few monthe you will be calling for Lins head.

Papabear i was being sarcastic. However i dont think melo fits this team. i mean isos dont work and he cant fit with the up tempo offense that we were having success on. I know they are not trading melo i was just saying for argument sake

Mike D will be long gone after this season and I assure you that whom ever the new coach is he will have to be playing Melo ball if he wants to get hired as the Knicks head coach.

Jeremy Lin to the Los Angeles Lakers in two years. He's bound to end up there at some point in his career. I tell you RIGHT now if Lin were in L.A Lakers and we still have Lamar, the Lakers would be first place and possibly an NBA Finals champion.

It would be tough with the way Lin defends point guards and odom's sudden loss of a heart.
