This roster would benefit and seems like a "larry brown" kind of team.

He has his point guard and other pieces.

They'll play defense for him.

Larry would have a 24 month self life with this team before they can't stand his voice any more.

Brown knows more about hoop than just about anyone.

Not saying we have to like him, just has to win.

Maybe someone can teach Amare the basic fundamentals of playing defense such as position and footwork.

Amare does not play defense because he gets in foul trouble.

I love a coach that can teach and players that take pride in their fundamentals.

Dice lost his knees and became a valuable player despite losing what made him one of the best on the planet.

Amare might not be there yet but the day will come.

Popovich is a Larry Brown student. Pop was Browns assistant in San Antonio.

Larry Lover? Dude took the BobCats to the playoffs. Bobcats demise was not on him. They had roster problems.

Larry is a great coach who did an awful job here.

Given the teams track record and working for the vile Isiah its no wonder he failed. I can't think of any more dysfunctional coach/management relationship that lasted less than 12 months.

Please understand I am not absolving larry for his part. He had a very long history of success in most of his stops at one point or another warts and all.

But really, the knicks just hire really good men, chew them up and spit them up all while paying them millions of dollars!

Why would Phil Jax want any part of this?

Whats next? "Ewing gonna bring Knicks back?"

Why did you have to say Larry. You could have said JVG or Phil Jackson or whatever. Larry Brown to me is associated with the dark times that NYK fans had to endure through.

Thats the irony..........Larry is a teacher of the fundamentals we lack. He is old school.

Lets face it, if you want a free wheeling flowing offense you have the man already.

If you want fundamentals with a high cred guy, you had larry.

You want a mentor type, you had Isiah.

you want a laid back let the players play, you had Lenny.

Its not like we have had bad coach's here.

Don't worry, Larry is not coming back.

I was just playing with you Nalod. If we were building a team from the ground up then Larry Brown would be one of the best guys you can get. But to bring Brown to this situation is 50/50 hit or miss. I would prefer to try and steal guys like Doc Rivers or Rick Carlisle. Besides Dolan can't stand Brown.

If Jackson came on board though that means he sees how it can work. He won't go to a team unless he is sure he can be successful.

Jeff bailed on us before the bottom dropped out and I still hold a grudge but I'll listen to JVG if he made a pitch for the job and he saw something he could get out this current team..

I say we just make Herb coach and give him a 10 year contract.

But I was always a fan of Larry. Larry wasn't having any of Dolan's **** and he said PEACE OUT BITCHES!

Carmelo Anthony is ANTI-BASKETBALL
