Sorry wrong title. The title should say run the pick and roll with Melo and Amare and start Smith.

This is our best way to make it work IMO. I know it didn't work earlier in the season, but that was before we added guys like Lin and Smith to the rotation. Melo and Amare are our two best offensive weapons, Lin and Smith are our 2 most capable out side shooters at the guard position. The trap is killing Lin on the pick and roll at this point his his career, but I don't believe the trap would have the same success with Melo. Lin and Smith are also big upgrades over Douglas and Fields in the back court for Melo and Amare to work with off the pick and roll. Lin will have less pressure on him, and get a ton of open 3 looks, and be free to do the little things. Which I think he would be better then Melo in that aspect of playing off the ball. So a role reversal between the two I think will benefit both, same with Amare and Chandler. Amare needs to be featured pick and roll big and Chandler needs to be clean up rather then Chandler being featured pick and roll big and Amare 18ft jump shooter.
