do your best to be unbiased. Also consider all factors, not just on the court. Consider Lin's value as a marketing machine being the only Asian player in the NBA (that doesnt totally suck). Consider Lin's tiny contract vs. Melo's large one. Consider Melo's ability to dominate and be a build around type player and his 5(?) time all star status sells its own share of jerseys etc.

Consider that Lin certainly seems to be falling back to earth, and that Chris Duhon put up pretty big numbers in this offense for weeks at a time.

If you had to trade one who would you keep?

Lin
Melo

Lol. Tough question until the 3rd option is revealed.

Its like the dreaded 3rd party... obviously the 3rd option will gather some significant volume, but whose votes will be stolen? Lin? Melo?

I'm going with Melo becuase he is established and proven. Lin very well could be the next Steve Nash but I wouldn't bet on it.

[Nash 2.0] - [Melo] <<< [Melo] - [above average point guard]

I'd rather build around a PG....I chose to keep Lin and wasn't even tempted by option 3 because I have matured in the last few days and I'm all grown up now

I really did have a lot of respect for Melo and wanted him here. I think he's just in a slump right now and will break out of it, but to be honest if Lin was surrounded by shooters like Novak and with Tyson in the middle he'd be able to win games. I think he's got great court vision and really with STAT and Melo the paint has been clogged and that's the reason he's not able to continue "Linsanity". There's nowhere for Lin to go. Melo is always hanging around looking for the ball and isn't really helping to space the floor so Lin can run PnR. STAT can't really spread the floor as much cuz he hasn't been shooting like he did last year. Fields can't hit the side of a barn so again teams are just packing the paint and attacking Lin. It's not that Lin can't handle the pressure. It's that the rest of the SL can't spread the floor for him.
