I didn't watch the whole game, but when I did, Amar'e seemed to be back to being an efficient scoring threat.

Lets see if he can keep this up, but better than watching him turn into Larry Johnson in a single season.

We shouldn't expect anything from the Knicks. Best approach with the Knicks is to be never surprised by what they do.

Article says he has lost 10 lbs in 10 days and has 5 got go.

He looked quick last nite.

Lets see a back to back and how he does tonite.

Amare looked very good last night.

On the other hand, Melo looked atrocious. He seemed to be pouting.

10 lbs in 10 days? That does not sound healthy.

The only time I lost close to 10 lbs in 10 days was after eating street food.

He said his metabalism is very fast and he did wind sprints after each practice.

These guys can cut back some on diet and do extra work and it just falls off.

Funny, the guy bulks up the year AFTER he was playing the 5.

That's b/c it isn't.

He says he has a fast metabolism, and has been doing a weights and wind sprints programme- I remember he lost a lot of weight his last year with Pheonix- he was playing out of his mind the second half of that season.

It was great to see Amar'e back for a game- he was just a lot quicker, in his decision making and his moves to the basket- hope it's not a one off.

Shame it seems he and Melo can never have a good game at the same time- it always seems like when one does well, the other sucks. They have possibly the least chemistry I have ever seen between two all star players on the same team- in fact I forget they're even playing together sometimes, since there is still hardly any basketball interaction between the two of them.

u can lose that weight in a healthy way if u r a world class athelete. Boxers lose 10 - 15 pounds in a 50 minute fight.

Is that true? Wow! At that rate you should be able to see them visibly shrink!

I don't know if I agree. For the average uk.com poster? absolutely. For Amar'e, NBA.com has him listed at 260 pounds. 10/260 = 3.8%. If he went up to 270, that's 3.7%. Is it ideal? No. But I would think that just by playing and modifying his diet he could drop that much weight

its fine... 10 days? Most likely its water which is ok. Every 2 months or so I essentially fast (200-300 calories a day for 5 days ish) and I will drop from 200 to 190 in 4-5 days.

This guy is a pro athlete.. and his body is a machine.

I hope Amare bounces back. He's a winner. Man we need him

I wouldn't say he's "back" just yet. He did less than nothing on defense. His efforts are the very definition of "matador" D. It's worse than DLee. But he did regain some confidence on offense, and even snagged a few boards. Hopefully he can get back to roughly what he promised when he signed here (i.e., he never said he would play D).

Melobury my biggest fear. Starbury was awesome until he let the media & fans get in his head. Instead of fighting through it he pouted and suck for the rest of his Knicks career.

Don't know what game you were watching- his defense was pretty good for a change.

And Amare's attitude through all this has been better than Melo. Melo can learn something from him.

I need more than one Okay Game before I would declare that he is back.
On the bright side, maybe Amar'e is back!
