DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks forward Lamar Odom has re-joined the team for tonight's game against the Utah Jazz, but players say he has yet to address them about the leave of absence that took him away from the team for 10 days.

Odom, typically accessible prior to games in the locker room, said he will answer questions after tonight's game.

"After the game you can ask me anything you want," Odom said.

Mavs coach Rick Carlisle opened his pregame interview session with a comment regarding Odom's Saturday morning call-up from the D-League's Texas Legends. The Mavs assigned him to the team on Friday with the expectation that he would play for the Legends tonight to regain his stamina and join the Mavs on Sunday for their trip to Oklahoma City.

"The way the situation happened, a couple things played into the fact that he's going to join us tonight instead of playing in a D-League game," Carlisle said. "No. 1, we're struggling, we could use the extra man power. And No. 2, his workouts have been going well and so it just seemed like it was best for him to join the team at this time. So, he will be suited up and he will play."

Then I would go in front of the press, apologize to Cuban, his teammates and to the good people and fans in Texas and pledge to rededicate himself this year to turning over a new leaf and being the type of player that the good people of Texas deserve. Then I would buy 300 tickets a game in Dallas at home the rest of the year, and give them to children in need, call it Lamar's Corner and say publicly that he is dedicated the rest of his season for kids in need and he's asking Cuban to make a dollar for dollar match to those charities.

Then he needs to play lights out grind it out lunchpail ball. Rebrand himself as a legitimate enforcer and lay down a few flagrants.

Then at the end of the year, donate a million dollars as a scholarship fund for Texas high schools for underprivileged kids who have overachieved so they can get a chance at college and name the awards in honor of his dead cousin or mother or whatnot. Then privately ask Cuban to trade him so he can go back to LA.

Right, here's a guy who can't motivate himself to play for and fit into the defending NBA champions team, so of course he would fit right in. Here's what we should do:
