The whole point is that DerMarr's flashes of brilliance include those breathtaking drives to the basket on fast breaks that he can't seem to finish! At this point, while I agree that Shandon stinks, I can't see how DerMarr is better than him in any way, offensively or defensively...
The only reason I want to like him is that potential--- but potential is a funny word when it comes to NBA players. TT should be at least a top-10 player now, and KVH should've been the next Bird, and Sweetney should be putting up 20-10 numbers like Brand.
Here's something for the old Knick faithful--- Greg Butler was supposed to hit the most amazing shots in practice regularly. Unfortunately, in real games he was the absolute biggest stiff, err, fan favorite.

Shandon at least has his flashes of brilliance (the occassional breakaway dunk, a steal, a deflection leading to a fast break, etc). DerMarr better have a lot of intangible qualities on the court, cuz he's certainly not showing much statistically.
Flashes, like throwing the ball into the 3rd row of seats, fouling a player behind the 3 pt line with 1 second on the clock--Anderson is terrible! I would love to see a stat with +/- pts of the knicks with Anderson on the floor and when he's sitting. Unfort. it doesn't look like Demarr is the answer either- I don't see anything that this guy does on offense , way too passive. Maybe with more practice he can bring it to a game.
