so far the reviews have been good since it has a 95% on the rottentomato meter. it is also already in the top 250 on imdb. cant wait till next friday!

Still think Batman Begins and the Dark Knight are the best superhero-themed movies ever, but the Avengers comes in third. I still think off Edward Norton when I think Bruce Banner, but Mark Ruffalo was OK. Chris Pine has Capt. America nailed. Awesome way to kick off the summer movie season!

Dark Knight still is the top superhero movie, but Avengers easily slides into 2nd past Spiderman and Batman Begins. They changed the whole game with this movie, and if DC doesn't come up with a Justice League soon, anything they put out will be mediocre in comparison. Chris Pine is actually Capt. Kirk in Star Trek. Chris Evans was Human Torch in the Fantastic Four movies and Captain America/Steve Rogers.

You're right, my bad on the names. The Superman movie is really going to determine how much DC measures up. Goyer is part of the creative process, so I won't write Superman off completely. But I haven't been too impressed with what I've seen so far.
