although, they can match any offers...and knowing Denver they will want something in return in the form of a sign and trade. Not sure where he will end up...or he could even sit the rest of the season out and become an RFA next season, which is unlikely since some team is going to need him for their playoff push. In any event, sadly, he is looking for a multi year deal which we can't offer until next season if we still have our MLE. The time table is March 1, so it will be resolved soon....but I wouldn't mind seeing him in a knick uniform again however unlikely it is that Denver would take our spare parts for him in a sign and trade.

I would trade a 2nd round pick, Walker, Douglas, & Cash. See if they bite.

looks like I read the quote backwards...good catch Andrew. Thought it was the other way around when I posted

Yup, but I think he has to do this by March 1st, and also have his clearance from FIBA.

If they do not sign a one year deal and Chandler sits out the rest of the season he is an RFA next season and Denver can match...that is if I am reading the article correctly this time wouldn't be surprised to see this resolved bt 3/1 with Denver receiving some assets in return

The article failed to present 1 important side of the situation. Chandler can accept the 1 year qualifying offer from Denver that will be for the rest of this year and then become a UFA next year. Denver can't do anything to stop this. Only the Chinese team can by not releasing him to play in the NBA and granting him his clearance letter by March 1st (if his Chinese team is still in the playoffs).

Great. Another addition that will be expected to perform and gel in three games or we'll have to trade Melo and Stat immediately.

Chandler can't stay focused and checks out too much in games. He has the skills but not the drive.

Do we waive Bibby or JR Smith (or Bill Walker?) to get Chandler... and have a super-overstuffed roster? :)

Denver already said no to a sign & trade for JR Smith. We're offering nothing that they want... unless we start talking about more draft picks.

I'm sorry loweyecue, you can't have him. I'm going to have to veto this trade. Besides, Bibby can defend 4 positions, he's just pacing himself.

Love Wilson but don't see how he can come back. Wilson is a guy that fills so many holes with his versatility.
