That's just the way it is in sports. No championship or elite team can cruise all the way to the top without getting their butts kicked at least once. Ask the 15-1 Packers last year, or the 17-0 Patriots. Better this type of loss happen now and not in the playoffs. Besides it's the only way to learn, its the only way to keep things in perspective. Miami was super aggressive, executed THEIR game plan, and Lin was clearly frazzled and had his worst outing as Knick so far.
That being said, our "counter punches" for almost 3 quarters kept the score basically even and at times we were even leading, which is a very good sign of our relentless and our instinctive ability to still score and defend, even while on our toes. (However I'll also add that if Miami wasn't showboating so much they wouldn't have missed so many easy shots and perhaps the first half might never have been so close.) Our players also never quit, even if they couldn't keep a consistent rhythm. I also didn't see any indications of players or coaches "giving up" on Lin, or blaming him. This will only make us stronger in the long run. I am not worried.
