It's been talked about and mentioned everywhere what an exceptional court vision Jeremy Lin possesses. I think Melo's court vision is also very good. Lin's court vision is better but Melo is not chopped liver. The bullet passes and the lob passes are awesome.

BUT

Melo needs to work on his delivery. Lin's passes hits the target in their hands and in stride where their next move is to shoot. With Melo, other than the lobs, his targets need to catch and gather themselves before shooting which enables the defender the opportunity to recover.

Lin's passes is very similar to what Eli Manning does. They throw/pass their teammates get an opening/score. Lin has made JJSkinny into an offensive option. Another comparison is Melo's passes are more the Elway variety where he drill his WRs. Lin is more Montana.

Melo's bullet passes are pretty to look at but it does not help players like JJSkinny.

Um... let's not get crazy. Still saw JJ blow two layups yesterday. Dude still hurts my eyes.

I rather see Novak take a 35' shot with one guy on him than JJ take an uncontested layup

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Who passed it to him? BDiddy and Melo. When Lin passes to him its a layup or dunk shot.

Melo is an excellent passer. He still needs a game or 2 to get back his crispness.

It's true. If only JJ had one layup move that he could consistently hit.

Courtvision typically is applied to the concept of passing... but it is posible to have courtvision and be a finisher. Melo is the best finisher on the team and might be the best finisher in the league. A lot of that has to do with being able to anticipate how the play will develop. Lin got him the ball on a slash last night that was insanely beautiful to watch. That's not 100 percent Lin or Melo. It's the result of high level collaboration
