This is easily the most important game of the last 10 years.

We've given business to some top dogs, but there is no bigger dog than Miami.

I am viewing this as a playoff game.

The ultimate test. We think we can be the Big Dogs, now we ball against the Big Dogs.

This is premature they are playing at a very high level we only got Melo and Davis and JR two games ago. I would love to beat them too but this is just one game. And it's not like Lin needs anymore pressure on him. I will be looking to see what Amare does and if he can come out motivated for a big game.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I want blood on the hardwoods tonight. This is it, this is the closest thing we've had to a Finals game since '99.

Wow!

Checking out the gamepicker, most here don't expect the team to win.

I expect the win, Knicksfan. This is a good chance climb up the gamepicker standings.

Knicks by 4, Lin with 20 and 12 dishes, Melo with 38 points, Novak 4 trey buckets.

All you can ask is a chance in the 4th quarter tonight, win or lose. Our real battle with the Heat happens in the postseason...

We need Shump on Wade and that aint happening. Anyone (and I can't believe I'm saying this) for starting JR over Fields for defensive purposes?

A scrimmage?

Scrimmaging is what guys do in practice.

This is a defining moment of the 2011-2012 season.

This game sets the tone for the Knicks-Miami playoff series.

Lin already took down Kobe and Dirk, now he tackles the biggest Kahuna in all of the land, LeBron.

Far from a scrimmage, my friend.

Yeah, Fields doesn't have the speed and quickness to defend Wade or Lebron.
They all looked like they gave great effort, playing good team defense yesterday, although it was vs a horrible injured Hawks team.
Double teaming, playing zone, and daring players to hit the wide open shot.'
Melo looks like he can be a solid defender and Amare, looks like he is picking up on his foot speed, but Amare still has to be more consistent.

JR Smith is currently our best G/F defender, and will be used to defend Wade.
Miami always looks to push and run, doing it very effectively, with Wade and Lebron sprinting down fast, before defenses can set.
They have mastered to fast break together, with Lebron usually near half court, and Wade running all the way down.
It is really tough to defend, because they both finish so well, and can easily penetrate themselves, or hit a 12 footer.
This is where I really would love to add a player like Ariza or Ak47 to compliment TC at the PF.
It looks as if Amare is the one that is the odd man out, as the weak link.

Think a 3rd team would be needed, but Ariza + Kaman, for Amare and 1 filler.
While Amare started back this franchise, has tried his best to sacrifice his own shots, and personal stats to improve the team, trading him would probably be in the best interest.
When it comes down to it, we are a much better defensive team with JJ at the 4.
If we want better offense, we insert Novak at the 4 to spread the floor, and it just makes everyone's job easier.
Having JR Smith on one side and Novak on the corner gives us legit shooters to spread the floor.
It will be great to if Jorts comes back, hoping his wrist injury doesn't hurt his ability to shoot.

The key to this game is obviously defense, but even more so, is TURNOVERS! If we turn the ball over against the Heat and turn it into a track meet, it could get ugly...

Defense, TOs and rebounding.

There isn't going to be any 54 points in the paint in this game. Heat will pack the paint and force us into a jump shooting team if they can. Ball movement and a few of our shooters getting hot will be key. Important win if we can get it, but its not the end of the world if we don't. This one should definitely feed the hype machine whichever way it goes

We are going to turn the ball over. That's a given with RookLin and RustDiddy, especially against this team.

The key here is are we going to be able to get back and defend/foul, or end up standing around watching MiOhMy Slamma Jamma?

This will be a good litmus test of where this team is and what if any changes need to be made before the playoffs. Most teams are itching to test Lin but it being the Knicks/Heat makes it an even bigger deal. Definitely will have a playoff atmosphere. Can't wait.
