This kinda reminds me of the last shortened season when Spree helped us a lot to the finals of 1999. I wonder if this year, another shortened season, with another surprise rising star in Jeremy, think we can go all the way this year? I think so. I know we got lots of fire power now and a legit young PG that can distribute to many scoring options (D'Antoni is probably crying with tears of joy each game, win or lose).

I don't see why not. I think our bench is as deep as any other team in the NBA. Lin has proved he is a starter and a difference maker. I think in a 7 game series we create match up problems for any team. If Amare was playing at the level he was last season This team would be flat out scary. Hopefully I am wrong about him losing a step. Hopefully he wakes up and has a pep in the step.

Very weak year in the NBA so this is the year for an upset! We can't do it without Melo being at the top of his game though. That being said , I can't see any team getting by Miami. They are like a runaway train at this point and Spolstra has them playing inspired basketball. Lebron now how a post game which is a key ingredient to winning.

We can get by any other team. But hey, ya neva know! If the G-men can do it so can anyone.

I think we might be the only team to match up with the Heat. Yes that includes the bulls.

Rose > Lin
Melo > Deng
Amare > Boozer
JR Smith > Rip
I think our bench can be just as good as the bulls. Diffence is we have more scorers than the bulls. Lin can find ways to get in the lane and create for him self. Call me blind but I think that if you shut Lin down you still have to worry about Melo, Amare and Smith.

Amare > Boozer? Uh ... nope! Not even close at this point. JJ > Amare at this point.

As much as I get on Amare and trust me I do he is still playing better than boozer. 17/8 > 15/8

C'mon man - not even close!

1. Defense????!!!!
2. FG% 53% vs 44%??
3. Boozer is averaging 30 mins per game vs 34
4. TO's - 2.6 vs 1.6?

17/8 > 15/8? Thats your proof?

I'll tell you this, Lin = Rose if not Lin > Rose.

Lin is an elite player, right in the top tier of Point Guards.

We're the ugly dark horse in the playoffs.

Oh. Forgot to mention ... Noah had a triple double 13 pts 13 rebs and 10 assists - BEAST!! He is why they are the best defensive team in the league.

It's not an easy choice. Rose is proven over several seasons, so you go with Rose, but if Lin keeps going hard this year, finishes strong, and drops buckets in the playoffs, he's right there, you take Lin.

I'm taking Lin. He will do some MULTIPLE magical things for his team before his career is over. Rose, not so much (maybe individual magical things).

Talent-wise, our team can match up with any team in the NBA, including Miami. It just all depends on if everything falls into place, but this team has championship talent.

Lin is no Rose...yet.

This team is so much better than the '99 team it's not even close. On paper that is. If they can play like they did last night the mnajority of nights this team's only threats are Chicago and Miami in the East. And I think as good as Chicago is, they are beatable.

I think we would give Miami a much tougher run than the bulls in a 7 game series. We have some talented scorers.

Seriously. It should still serve as a nice measuring stick of where they are at, but like they said on the post game, the month of March will obviously be telling whether the Knicks are contenders or not.

Doubt it, not with Amar'e playing the way he has been. Stat would have to play and move like he did when he first got here. The Nets did a good job of forcing Lin to his left and it threw off his game. He was stopped in the paint repeatedly. Still found ways to contribute by getting more rebounds so it shows that he's resilient.

Until I see Lin in a few more games against elite teams with elite defenses, in addition to an improvement in Stat's game and mobility, I would say no. Of course I'd would love to be proven wrong.
