You know put the word out to the refs to allow him to get some star treatment.

Since he has a huge following due to his ethnicity, story, and plays for a huge market. When you combine the 2 it equal $$$$$$.

Come on Stern having Lin win a couple Championships can only be good for business. Plus he speaks perfect and has more flash to his game then Yao.

Who knows what kind of fixing the league does. But, I'll say this, with Yao having retired, Lin could fill a very big gap in that market and it would be good for the league. Hard to argue that it would be in the league's best interest for Lin to become a star.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I think Stern won't have to do a thing if Lin continues to grow in popularity and this team is winning. The Refs will grow in their respect for him and give him more preferential treatment. It might be enough to finally overcome the anti-NY bias there seems to be with the refs.

he can get some calls here and there but he's still gotta put the ball in the basket and make those good passes. The dude is a good player.

Stern could have helped us soooooooooo many times in the past. He could have "Rigged" the lotto when the Knicks desperately needed a superstar. He could have had the refs give the Knicks more calls a lot more all this time, just to boost them up. What makes anyone with a brain think he'll give the Knicks a boost now they could potentially be good.

I think Stern would sell his grandchildren's internal organs on ebay in order to build the franchise in China, Taiwan, or anywhere else.

I'm not sure you can rig the lotto. I think every stage of the event (when the balls are put in, when they're drawn out) is observed by a representative from each team. I mention this because I've thought about whether lotto-rigging can occur.
