“When you’re in and out, like I had been, it’s tough to get into a rhythm,” Novak said of his renaissance. “I don’t think I played terrible but when you’re in rhythm, you’re a different player. You let the game come to you a little more."

To be frank, The Answer Man is more comfortable with Novak than he is with JR Smith. JR has the talent of Kobe (yeah, I said it) but the brain of the player formerly known as Ron Artest. You never know what you're gonna get from Mr. Smith. He could explode or implode.

On the other hand, Novak is nowhere near as flashy or dashy, but has a certain minimalism to his game and the shot that silenced Minneapolis was possibly the most clutch shot of the season.

Novak gets better with time.

Love Novak and he is the perfect player for this offense. You need shooters that can just shoot lights out when open.

It's a beautiful thing when a player knows what he does best, doesn't try to do anything else, and just makes it rain.

Pound for pound, he's up there with Jordan, theoretically.

I love when Clyde was calling him Novacaine. His shooting definitely makes me feel good.

Novak should STAY in the rotation with major minutes. It was significan that he played the fourth quarter.

At 6'10 he is fundamentally sound on defense.

After what feels like a lifetime I no longer cringe when the ball goes to a player in a KNICKS uni who I know is going to launch a 3 pointer. Where do I sign?

MDA lost his stretch 4 from last year and wanted another one and Glen got him a great shooter that fills the need we had. Novak is also not a bad team player all the way around. He gives a great effort out there. When Novak hits the 3 it really changes the offensive efficiency of this team. He Keeps the defense honest.

I want to see what Jorts does with Lin. He already had some good games pre-Lin, and now he will make it rain.

It's a nice bonus to look forward to.

My question is why was he not playing earlier? Also you need a guy like Novak and JR. One that can make two dribbles and pull up for the two if he gets pushed off the three and another who can get to the rim or drop it off to someone else.

I want the "Make it Rain Squad" with Lin, Smith, Novak, Melo, and Jorts. I like Melo at the four because he can actually post up.

Novak will swing from the 3 to the 4 given the situations. What will happen is the minutes will go down for everyone on the team which is a good thing. I think while the minutes go down the production goes up because everyone is fresh and will be rested. This is why teams like Philly have a good record because they are so deep. The difference is that NY is deep but also have star players.

I hope MDA plays the extended rotation and everyone gets minutes. There's no need to run people to ground this season. Except Lin has no real backup till BD returns. Shump will be OK against weak defenses but today we saw again that he can't run the offense when the defense is tough.

He's already said he will extend it and wants Novak to keep playing.
