And what is Fields? Dolan's red haired step child?

Fields has been really playing well. The only thing Fields has left to fix is his 3pt shot. If he can get some arc in his jumper he'll be a very good player for us.

I'm really liking how Shump is growing into the 6th man role and finishing games with Lin. I read that the Lin and Shump duo is a +53 or something like that.

I think Fields need to fix all of his shots. 3pter, Mid and Fts

For shump I think Lins driving ability has rubbed off on him. Pre Lin Shump always settled now he drives more than he settles for the shot.

I agree. I noticed Shump keeping his dribble alive since Lin the Master showed up.

im really excited! the biggest positive for everything is that when everyone comes back, our second unit is already solid with

Lin
Shumpert
Novak
Jeffries
Harrellson

That is a great 2nd unit.

the only problem now is we need chemistry with the first unit with

Baron
Fields
Melo
Amare
Chandler

Fields and chandler should be glue guys i order for this unit to work. I am still confident with Davis. He will be a beast with this team and coach

Lin has a permanent starting spot in New York. Davis won't threaten that.

In your rotation remove Davis (who isn't even guaranteed to play this year) and replace him with JR. That's the missing piece. The bench can't have all of the shooters on the roster.

so you have a 32 year old coming off a back injury starting over a guy that given the knicks their best stretch of the season and has more points in his first 4 starts then guys like jordan, shaq, and iverson? Interesting lol

I love Lin, but Baron would be a beast in this system. Lin has a hard time finding chandler in the pick and roll for lob passes. That's were baron excels. Also if Lin plays with the second unit he plays with the guys he is with in the second unit and he can control the pace and find for his shot, not really the case if he is in the first unit.

I have watched Baron from Golden State to Clips to Cleveland, keep dreaming he will back cause I surely doubt it. I wish he can but as backup but due to his age and how he is taking long on recovery, I have my doubts.

Pre Lin, Shump was a PG, now he is where he shud be...Same with Melo, same with Amare...AS far as who starts at PG, these things always work themselves out...What a wonderful dilemma to have...

Last night, we had a lot of strong efforts from many Knicks. Schump, Fields, Novak and the big guy all had their 'A' game.

Yep, this past week a lot of players a have proven themselves- I'd say the only players that have pretty much nothing to offer, are Bibby, TD and Billy Walker. Jerome Jordan needs another year or so, and Balkman never really got a shot this past week. This past week has led to me actually accepting that Walker is a terrible player- I think I've been in denial because of the way he played when he first got traded to us, plus he a tough guy and doesn't let any other player intimidate him.

if you think about it we won 5 straight in one week with a depleted roster and without any real rest.
