$135 to get into section 417 on Friday? Do I really have to say anything else? And they increased ticket sales just because Jeremy Lin had 3 bad games. What the f' is wrong with these people?

And they had the nerve to announce an increase in ticet prices right before the lockout.

Pricks.

those ticket prices are based on the secondary market (stubhub, etc.). the garden itself did not increase the prices.

That's so f'ed up though. You can't go to a real good game anymore.

it's supply and demand. it prices me out of going to games too.

at least the at home viewing experience is much improved.

just wanted to clarify for you that it's not the garden increasing prices. they price their tickets at the beginning of the year. the pricing trend you linked to is referencing what tickets are selling for on the secondary market. and trust me, i hate MSG for what they are doing to TWC customers. they suck. this one isn't on them though.

yeah I pulled out on going to the nets game for 35 bucks barstool seats in the 300s (which are actually pretty sweet) and I doubt I'll have a chance to go again this year for that much money, stubhub prices skyrocketed for the next few games.

Just wait for a few hours before game time and go to Stub Hub and you can get dirt cheap tickets. I went to the ALCS 2 years ago and got 2 tickets for $28 a piece.

you could easily buy tics outside the garden for half price, you just won't see the 1st qtr, they start knocking the price down aftr the 1st qtr, and you could really get a good deal at the satrt of the 3rd qtr..You could get a ticket face value @ $185 4like $65..thats real talk buddy

why would i pay $65 to see 2 quarters, or roughly 30-40 minutes of basketball?

Isn't that 3 quarters and roughly 2 hours of entertainment?

Beggars can't be choosers.

Most "fans" get season tickets or tickets in advance.

Don't blame the Knicks. Blame the scalpers and non fans.

I don't want to hear this "oh tickets are so expensive" garbage.

It is the same thing. It's a premium sporting event. It's not a rec-league game in your town.

Tickets are expensive because they sell at that price.

How is it different?

I have season tix w/ a few people and tonight is actually the 1st game I'm heading to this year. I have sold most of the other games to try and help cut the total cost for the season tix.

I assume the OP is talking about the Knicks upping the price and not indivdual sellers. If it's the individuals sellers he's referring to, I gotta say I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel bad about getting as much $ based on the demand of a big game, given the exorbitant amount of money we paid for them?

Like Cash Money said, wait until close to game time and go on stub hub and snatch up some cheap tix to a lesser game. You can probably get pretty decent seats for under face.
