Actually this isn't SSOL. We don't have the roster for SSOL. This the rest of his playbook that the media and fans swear doesn't exist. There has always been a great halfcourt component of this system. A great many of the plays are halfcourt plays. We don't run n Gun, so most of what we play now is halfcourt. Also it's more conducive to playing tough D. You can slow the game down and still score a lot of points with this offense as we did last year.

Martin,

im not so sure. This team won tonite minus two all stars and a kid starting his first NBA game.

Thats some damn good coaching tonite.

Amare is a motion type player and he did real well in PHX, but if we get Melo to buy in with Lin there is potential here.

Baron has had a "setback". Its called "Lin!"

Phil Jackson's greatest trick was convincing the world he did not exist..... wait that was someone else.

Phil Jackson's greatest trick was making Jordan buy in to his system and telling the team do it's thing until he was most needed. MDA convinced Amare, Nash, Marion, Bell, Diaw and it worked. George Karl could not break Melo and now another coach has his shot.

Yeah when I read that Lin was killing Baron, I can imagine that it was humiliating for Baron cuz he may have thought how can I be getting killed by this kid. Who is he? Baron must have said, "no way am I ready to play". Those game day 3 on 3's weren't just for Baron's benefit!!! I think the staff already knew Lin was the real deal.

It's great that all of Lin's success is from methodically executing rather than some shooting explosion that could be a streak rather than a real indicator of his ability to run the point. What he's doing is legit.

If not, I bet if anyone can its PJAX. But great point about Jordan, he was a serious chucker. And, he was not that great of a shooter at that point either, especially from 3. He did turn him around.

IMO Melo has been showing he's more than willing to play team ball. He's done some forcing of things, but he's also been much more team oriented and he's been busting it on D too. I feel very good about Melo fitting in with what's going on. Plus he's seeing the value of it up close. He's not out there and the team has success.
