The Knicks are not planning to have Baron Davis before the All-Star break.
Coach Mike D’Antoni said Davis has had "a setback" in his rehab from a herniated disc and remains out indefinitely.
There had been hope Davis could make his Knicks’ debut by the end of January. But it continues to be pushed back and now D’Antoni said he doesn’t know when to expect him.

this sucks!!

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

It would suck a lot more if Lin didn't put himself in All-Star consideration the other night.

Lin = New Nash.

Baron who?!

Shocker.

Oh no, but anyone who didn't believe he's be back in 5 weeks in last years form is just a hater.

Last year's form? You mean dropping 22 and 10 with 4 steals on 53% shooting.

Lin will give you 32 minutes, for the other 16 you have TD and Shumpdawg do some light management.

We're good.

I think we need another passing guard who can hit three. Think Mike James is better fit then Bibby

If he comes back and contributes that's a nice bonus. You definitely can't depend on anything from Baron though.

Yea, it's all a bonus. If Baron can come in and give us 15 good minutes, I'm happy.

Patience is...

Shutting down Baron Davis until the Summer. Let his back heal completely and please stop with the artificial timetables that have NOTHING to do with anything. He will provide quality depth in 2012-13. Davis replaces Mike Bibby.

Scouring the globe for another Timofey Mozgov - this time he is a 6'6 Lithuanian playing lead guard for a junior team. This guy replaces Steve Novak.

Using the 2.5M exemption wisely. This guy replaces Lupe Fiasco... I mean, Bill Walker.

Drafting another player in the second round who can play. Dis guy replaces Renaldo Balkman.

Discovering a rare gem in Las Vegas at Summer League. Replaces Toney Douglas, whose shoulder starts acting up again.

That's five to restock our scraggly bench.

Yea I don't think motivation can help either way here. Guy is done. He doesn't have it physically anymore.

Really..you have that much faith in him the Davis is now a second dairy issue..

It's funny..every time our bench player has a good game all of a sudden he should be in the starting line up..
Then we wonder why we have the weakest bench in the league

I guarantee Lin will drop 8 dimes per game for us this season.
