Let's just be happy that he was prepared and ready for his big moment. He looked even more comfortable than he did in his previous garbage time outings and his 1st legit minutes in Boston. This is exactly how MDA handled Shawne in that he was doing well in practice for a while. This is important cuz maybe it's a fluke and he just had a couple of good practices, but when you see it over time you gain confidence that what you're seeing is for real. That gave MDA confidence that could contribute, just like last year with Shawne. Let's remember that Lin is a career 2.8ppg and 1.6 asts. It's not like he had this track record of success.
I can't see how anyone can really complain about how this kid was brought along. They managed it as well as they could to try and give him every chance for success. He didn't have any setback games. Just a nice progression and a breakout performance. Now hopefully he can settle into a role.
Good points, also shawne had the advantage because of the practice time each team had last year, this year Lin was just going through shootarounds or light practices.
Mike bibby is going to be cut now for sure if we get JR Smith.
if we do our bench will be solid with
Lin,shumpert,smith,harrelson,jeffries- making the rotation with douglas receiving garbage time. Im for sure teams will be scared once the playoffs come as we will be deep!
