Yeah, that was a great, hour-long interview. So much so, I DVR'ed it to watch again tomorrow.

Big Pat was one of the best Knicks ever. Hopefully he'll work for the Knicks at some capacity one day and finally win a ring with the team he represented for 15 years.

I don't do numbers when it comes to Knicks gear, but the only Knick jersey I've ever had was number 33, still proudly hanging on my wall over my mantle.

I'm still trying to get used to seeing Patrick with the virtual baldy, though.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Would love to have Pat in our coaching staff. As a youngling all I wanted was to win one for Pat. Winning with him as an assistant would definitely ease the pain

Ewing's jersey is the only one I have ever had also. I also have his olympic jersey and three pairs of his sneakers including the old school gray suede low tops. I wish he would be brought back to NY and put on the coaching staff or as the head coach. Howard is going to Brooklyn so Pat is probably a free agent after this year. Great guy and the ultimate warrior. I was so pissed when he missed that finger roll against the Pacers. Seeing him tonight talk about it gave me a different perspective.

True. It would fill a void left in all of us Knicks fans who watched Ewing throughout his era. Then we can look up at the rafters knowing that all the numbers there contributed to Knicks championships.

lol I had a pair of the mid-top Ewings back in the day, too. The White ones w/orange and blue stripes and trim, with blue and orange checkerboarded fat laces.

Patrick spoke about the finger roll, and pretty much his whole career, from high school through his retirement, and him family, friendships with other players and coaches, etc.

It was a great interview. I loved the part about MJax where he said he was afraid of Ewing and that Ew would choose John Starks to be in a fox hole with him.

I get the sense Ewing regrets some things about leaving the knicks and being an egocentric at times.

Youth, money, and power can corrupt ones thinking.

Not sure he'll fully come clean but there was a time the window of winning was open and he was the centerpiece.

Then the window closed but he wanted to be the centerpiece. It happens.

Dude's place in history is cemented good. HOF, retired Number, top 50 player (not sure that happens again) and still loved by many.

Glad to see he has the fire to work.

I don't know if he is head coach material as thats up to others more qualified to decide.
