Until Houston comes back, Williams should start ahead of Anderson at the 2 guard. The Knicks biggest weakness without Van Horn and Houston is outside shooting. Williams is a much better shooter than Anderson, who has an awful touch. The Knicks would be giving up a little in defense, but it's worth the trade off, IMO. Williams is also a much better passer, which could take the pressure off Marbury.

I'm inclined to agree...especially if our shooting continues to struggle. But I also want to give the new guys (Tim and Nazr) time to gel and to get incorporated into the offense.

Williams is not that bad of a defender anyway. He'll give up some size but he has quick hands and can create some turnovers. When he started at PG this year he shot the 3 ball pretty well if I remember correctly.

This is a great idea. Anderson is just not starter quality and we need another scored badly right now.

I'm not sure I would start frank, but at the very least, sub him in at the 2 and increase his minutes.

We can even try starting penny at the 2.it will make us bigger at the backcourt. Anderson is just terrible to watch. Its like watching a kid learning how to ride a two wheeler, when he dribbles down the court. freakin Layden shyt all over us...

The plan was for Shandon to play better since he's starting but clearly what he did earlier in the season was a fluke. He is what he is. Can't shoot, can't dribble, can't pass and there are much better/cheaper perimeter defenders around the league. I agree, it is time to put Penny in the starting lineup and take Shandon out of the rotation. I rather see FW and demarr get his minutes. I definitely think this move will be made if shandon keeps this up!

If you said Williams should start because he was a better ball handler I could see some merit. But even in an off year Anderson is shooting better the Williams 42.4% to 38.9%. Williams is shooting better from 3 pt range but williams is NOT a good shooter. Anderson is a career 46% shooter. I'm not a huge Anderson fan and I would love to see F.W. become a great player but I think most people on this board think he's much better then he's proven.

At the 2 Anderson is a better defender and a better scorer. If you believe that his lack of judgement and bad ball-handling merit him being replaced by F.W. I guess I would disagree but can see you point. But F.W. is not a better shooter, he doesn't look like a shooter and he doesn't make a good percentage of shots.

Allan Houston just needs to come back. It's time for the stretch run. The players have to sync up, and Allan being involved now would ensure that we won't have to work another player into the rotation after this group we have now begins to become acclimated to eachother (without him).
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
