We're 6 games under .500 but only 2.5 games out of the 8th spot with 46 games to go. We get healthy and go on a run. Things are definately bad but not always as bad as they seem. We have some tough games in February but we can win a majority. It's far from over fellas.....LET'S GO KNICKS!!!!

If we can get a starting and backup PG rotation, any way you can get it, I could see them recovering gradually. But no point guard, no decent record.

I thought this was going to be a thread about the Knicks pick being 6-10 next June and going to Houston from the McGrady deal.

Fasten your seat belts.

Cash - Of the ten Knicks home games in February, how many need to be won to salvage the season?

March begins with a six game death march through Boston, Dallas, San Antonio, Milwaukee (all on the road) Philadelphia (home) and Chicago on the road.

They'll beat Detroit. The Sixers next 7 games are tough and they could easily go into the funk that we're in now. I'm not as concerend about .500 as I am with winning the games we should. We're 6 under .500 but 7 behind the Sixers. This season is far from over.

I'll take a 10-5 record in February, heck even 9-6 would be good. Sure our schedule is tough to start in March but look at the Sixers upcoming schedule;

Mon 30 vs Orlando
Wed 01 vs Chicago
Fri 03 vs Miami
Sat 04 @ Atlanta
Mon 06 vs LA Lakers
Wed 08 vs San Antonio
Fri 10 vs LA Clippers
Sat 11 @ Cleveland
Mon 13 @ Charlotte
Wed 15 @ Orlando
Fri 17 vs Dallas
Sun 19 @ Minnesota
Tue 21 @ Memphis
Wed 22 @ Houston
Tue 28 @ Detroit
Wed 29 vs Oklahoma City

I'm keeping the faith fellas, it ain't over till it's over...that's why they play the games.

Boston,Nets,Jazz, Wizzards, Raptors, Kings, Hornets, Nets, Cavs - That's 9. Even if they don't beat them all they could pull out a W agaist Dallas or Atlanta.

We need Melo healthy and Baron running the point. I really feel we'll be fine.

If we don't have any improvement at the PG position, February will be about 5-10 IMO.

LOL.

I want this team to win but can't really keep up the hope with our current roster. I mean it's been 50 games and Davis, our savior, might be out another 1 or 2 weeks and when he does come back he will be rusty.

We are approaching the point of if things go south, hope for a top 5 lotto pick so we can keep it. That might be the only way to get a PG.

What evidence makes you think the Knicks will go 10-4 in February?

Please cite specific reasons for such a dramatic reversal from 7-13, not just math.

I don't think Boston is a gimme game, in fact I think this team will struggle against them.

... they can get worser.

Cash - if our beloved Knicks beat Detroit, AND suddenly catch fire and manage to break EVEN during February, they finish the month at 15-20.

Winning HALF of the next 16 games is more than a notion. Something significant must change for a team whose turnover average (17) nearly equals assists (18.6). Something MUST change for a team that shoots 41 per cent from the field while allowing opponents to shoot 45.

(Just for kicks and giggles, Denver leads the NBA in assists (24.4) and scoring (106)

Br prepared for much of the same until Baron is playing. And even then temper expectations. We lack a playmaker and players who can hit open shots. I dare say, this is at least as bad a stretch of basketball as any in the Layden/Isiah years.
As bad as things are right now.....
