Not sure if he would help but Bibby certainly hasn't impressed recently.

Last game James played for the Bulls he dropped 10 dimes in 16 minutes.

Can't be worse than Bibby; let's give him a 10.

In 25 min on the season he's had 12 points and 11 assists.

Is he still playing?! I had to ckeck it was the Mike James I remembered- I didn't realise he's been playing all these years- I remember that one contract year where almost doubled his stats, then he seemed to vanish back into his old ways the season after. I'm sure there was some sort of character issue with him, but I can't remember exactly what it was.

He'd be the best Knicks point guard as soon as he stepped on the court.

Aside from Jeremy Lin of course.

If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Dont see this fascination with J.Lin

HE may be a tough fair young player

but when I seen him he's aggressively looking for his own shot 90% of his limited minutes on the floor.

Why do the Knicks need another ball-hog guard eh?

The Lin fascination reminds me of the days when people were calling for Randolph to get time, for Hill to get time; in every case, Mike D'Antoni was right. And he is right again with Lin. Though I wouldn't mind throwing the kid out there and letting him swim with the sharks for some on the fly experience; it really can't get any worse.

Lin is not like AR and Hill. Those guys didn't have the capacity to learn or even channel their own talent. They were too busy playing diva to the media. Lin is a smart kid and he will get time when the time is right for him. Fans will call for blood and new lineups every week but fans don't have any a count ability for the product on the floor. If Lin gets in tonight commits 18 turnovers then you will see 6 dozen threads saying how bad a coach MDA is to have put him in a position to fail. This **** never stops.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I think there is a huge difference. Hill and Randolph were lottery picks. Hill was on a team of little talent vets with expiring contracts that weren't playing for the playoffs or for draft position. It seemed like a good opportunity for young guys to get 10-20 minutes a game that year. Randolph was only 20-21 last year and had put up almost 12 and 7 in Golden State. Lin wasn't drafted and has had the misfortune of usually being the last guy cut. I believe there was speculation that his ethnicity sold a lot of tickets in Golden State.
It will be fun to watch Hill tonight. He had 10 and 10 last night but his minutes seem sporadic. Without msg I watch that show on nba tv a lot where they check in on games. I have seen Hill a couple of times and he looked good.

I agree there is a big difference between Lin and Hill and Randolph, but there is no difference in the calls for him to play coming from the fans.

It's a similar situation where the fans think Guy A can ball, D'Antoni isn't playing him, and the fans think they know better than D'Antoni.
