Going all in on the big FA guys?

Hasheem Thabeet, Terrence Williams, Jordan Hill and Flynn were all lottery picks in 2009, and the Rockets declined option years on all four of them.

All of them are cheap role guys at this point....hence the semi OT....Knicks could use them all off the bench right now. That goes to show you how bad our bench is when 4 guys that could be in a rotation are not even options to some teams cuz they have better talent on the roster.

Knicks don't have that luxury

I like Flynn but he can get out of control at times. I remember when we had a good run with older PGs like Cheeks/Rivers/Harper but its hard to find guys like them who are that smart, healthy, and can still ball.

LOL at all the hate Jennings got during that draft. I'd love them on the cheap.

BroPez did not get extended in part by injury.

They could have enough to get Howard, resign BroPez and keep Deron.

BroPez as a power forward is not the same as him at the 5.

Him and Howard are not over lapping skill set.

I know, who cares about the Nets!

Well, they are Brooklyn, and they won't suck forever!

Walsh's motto is to choose ethics/team players over talent
While we did lose out on Jennings, using his Philosophy he has chosen some good picks that, NO ONE ELSE, would have picked turning them to be steals.
We just got rid of Marbury, so Jennings, opening his mouth b4 the draft about Rubio, and being a 6'0, 180pd, scoring PG, not pass first was understandable

If he traded down, instead of getting Gallo, since Wilson Chandler looked like a good coming athletic SF, with good strength, athleticism, and defense.

Lopez could have been another option
Eric Gordon *which I admit I was wrong about, I thought he was going to be a poor Ben Gordon type*

or trading down for

Jrue Holiday or Lawson

and

Deandre Jordan *wow* he was instead drafted in the 2nd round, but was worthy of being a late 1st rounder with great athleticism/length, decent size and pure rawness.

All good picks with the benefit of hindsight!

Johnny Flynn I think is a guy the Knicks should look at...he is a pick and roll PG who can push the ball...He is the third PG in Houston who isn't getting much time and now they don't have any intentions bringing him back...He hasn't performed so he should be cheap...He is definitely worth a look..

Flynn is very quick but lacks size, vision, and the ability to finish around the basket. They had a Flynn versus Lin poll, and Lin won overwhelmingly at Houston. Ultimately Flynn got kept in part because he had a guaranteed contract and Lin was the only one on the entire roster who did not (when Houston needed to drop a player to get Dalembert).

It was way too much to give up this guy for cap space, we got raped in the trade. And now the team that so coveted his talents is cutting him for the same cap space! WHERE is TMS? I sure have a bone to pick with him.

agree 100% hollie. flynn might be a good a fit here and he sure as hell isn't getting any burn in houston. i wonder what his trade value is? i'd be glad to trade struggling PG for struggling PG (douglas for flynn)

Yeah he went from reminding the coach of Amare around the draft to being a 'bad rookie' shortly after the trading deadline.

Jordan Hill and Johnny Flynn would be great addition off the bench. I think we have a good chance at Flynn since he is from NYC and we have minutes for him at PG.

The first comment was about style of play, the second about work ethic, ability to learn and desire. Where is the contradiction?
