I think hes the best option. We have a rookie SF and an undersized two guard who hasnt shown much intelligence on the court playing PG. While Lin also lacks experience and would be raw I think hes the best option on this team. He can bust guys off the dribble plays with his head up and tries to move the ball to the right guy. The other guys arent close to that.

How sad is it that everyone is calling him someone we just brought back from the D-league to start for us. You guys really think he is going to come in have us win games? really? What a freaking joke.

Lin cannot do much worse than the 23 turnovers donated last night.

Play him.

Agreed; he may help us to lose less badly.

Dont be too sure, he looks very out of control.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Yoots

That would be a baby step in the right direction. You have a better idea?

And please, waiting on Baron Davis is NOT a long term solution any more than Paul Westphal, Steve Francis, Derek Harper, Doc Rivers, Tracy McGrady... or the recently-signed Toney Douglas.

Pete Maravich looked out of control. He had it under control.

Play Lin.

Better idea for this roster? No. I'd rather watch Lin than Douglas play PG.

I don't understand why half of the posters think that this is a bad move. Do you guys think that the current PG will improve? There is nothing there. TD will NOT improve. Bibby is shot. Shump looks good in spots but he can't play the whole game. This really baffles me.

the 23 turn overs aren't the PG's fault. Its the team as a whole, and their collective lack of focus and attention to what they are supposed to be doing.

That is on the coach, folks. He needs to figure this out, and get these guys to listen to his plan, or dumb his plans down.

The worst thing that can happen is that Jeremy Lin panics and is exposed as a complete fraud.

The best thing that can happen is that he makes mistakes, works to correct them - and gains the gradual respect and trust of his running buddies.

Quite frankly I dont think its close. If you consider Lin is an athletic 6-3 who looks to push the ball get others involved has the ability to break down a defense and add in he can actually shoot the ball--its an easy choice. Iman is playing because he was pick 18 but hes no PG. TD has not shown the intelligence to start at PG in the NBA. Hes a fine back up but not a true starting PG type. Lin is our Tim Tebow--give him the chance and lets see what happens.

Tim Tebow cannot hit the ocean from a boat. I would prefer Lin to be our Eli Manning.

What if that boat was in the middle of the desert? Then it would be ok but Tebow would open up the skies and make it rain for 40 days and 40 nights until the Sahara ocean formed and he would plunk that spiral in right dead center.

Then he would start Tebowing

Who starts?

Answer:

It will be Baron by the time the team hits Houstan.

Who is the back up? Perhaps before we start Lin its logical he actually gets time in the rotation during real minutes.

Im frustrated as anyone, but "WTF, how bad can it be?" is not how you run a team. Its how you quell frustration.

+1

I just want him to get a fair chance to make the rotation, not necessarily start. TD is playing like he couldn't make the D-League right now. Give the guys on the end of the bench a fair chance to contribute. That includes Novak.

I went hard about Lin in my last blog....

It angers me that people use words like raw to describe him. Like what is Toney Douglas and Shumpert at point guard. Those guys are raw prospects at point cuz neittyher are very good at it.

Lin got shipped to the d-league and had a legendary game 28/12/11.....triple ****ing double. That is not raw. Its not a joke either. This guy is better than any point guard Cleveland played last night including the rookie from duke. He damn sure is better than Bibby and he has pure point guard skill and natural instincts. His handle is top notch as well. He's a legit 6'3" too.

Its complete bull**** that this guy is not playing. I personally think this kid can start for us and be the point guard for the future wit Shump at his side at shooting guard for the next 10 years

Personally I think the Knicks are hiding him so they don't have to pay him next year. They want his value low so they can keep him around next year. Why else did they bring him back after one d-league game? The kid is nice. He can play this game and play it very well.

TD is a student of MDA's very complicated system and he trusts him to run it as designed.

I am not sure if Jeremy Lin has the brains to pick up this syastem.
