First the Hookers:
This girl from American Idol, Britney Kerr:

Very nice voice.
But.......

She comes up our isle and dances in front of us. Pictures don't do this girl justice. She moves in mysterious ways.

Got there a bit early to eat some overpriced food.
Watched Baron Davis work out solo with a coach. I have seen Davis play as a Hornet in Charlotte years ago and he looks fit and slim these days. Seemed to move and shoot well. Beard is full and full of smiles.
I expected a good game as they have practiced some and with Baron coming playing time is up for grabs.
Some observations:
Paul Silas died last year and this weekend at Bernies thing not working. How is Matt Carrol still getting burn? He seemes to put himself in.
They Miss DJ Augustine. Don't let Kembas stats fool you, he can score but does not engage his team. They miss Maggette. Derrick Brown is not nearly the same Caliber.
Mullins is a good sub player. Knicks front line is tough and he was over matched.
Diaw looked like the crap he is. Ty Thomas is clueless still. Diop looks like a 12 year old fat kid who plays cuz its his basketball. Bismack Biyombo has no offensive skill and not sure what Jordan is doing picking this kid. He is a project.
Knicks made this team look bad.
We loved the weave MDA had the team doing on the perimeter. The ball movement was great. We appreciated the rebounding Melo did in the first half. We loved the team was up by 20 when he left and he only had 1 pt.
Not hating, just thought his game was unselfish and he got to see and feel what can happen. They could not contain our front line.
TD played 15 min and looked very much in control. Shot selection was good for the most part but he played a patient game.
Lin got garbage time and was ok, but it was not a real test. JJ3 and Novak played well in garbage time.
Shump looked like a real rookie tonite. M Forget the shots, but look at the movement. The kid is good at creating his own shot but when asked to weave his game into the fabric of the MDA complicated offense he was not in the rhythm at all. MDA was right to pull him and treat him like a rookie.
Im not hating on the kid, but you don't want to over empower a kid and let him run as Wiz did with John Wall. Shump will be great and has to go thru rookie time at some point. He had a few nice moments and he is not far from being an even better player then he has been.
We were thrilled with Fields performance.
We were happy to see the team destroy the Bobcats with Shump looking like a rookie and Melo playing only 29 minutes and not score but one point. Amare put on a nice show of dunks and shows he still has some nice moves.
Im not saying we are out of the woods but the play was encouraging and we saw a glimpse of MDA brand of ball.
