1. I did see him pass off to the wings on some of those un-explosive drives that go nowhere other than offensive fouls and TO's
2. only 4 turnovers
3. only 5 fouls - cause if contested some of those dunks and layups and actually played a shred of defense, he woulda had 20 fouls - so that was pretty heads up
4. he actually looks like he wants to figure out how to not be so bad unlike Melo - unfortunately, he will figure out that he is starting to really suck!
5. I liked his offensive rebounding in this game
6. 2 assists - which is way higher than his seasons average of a whopping 1.4
7. He shot 50% from three - thats pretty awesome! we should have him do more of that
8. He only got 1 tech - even though it was at a most pivotal point in the game
9. He had 1 blocked shot - which is double his average of 0.5 - though its not close to his average of 1.9 that he had last year

Lets hope for continued improvement and forward progress.

He played the Center position most of last season, he was always quicker than his opponents and scored much easier then. He should play some center when Tyson is resting or in foul trouble.

I don't think he is adaptable enough to switch from playing PF to playing center in the flow of the game.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

That may be true but the real truth is: he does not had the explosiveness that he had the first half of last season. What is really suprising is that the deadly 20 footer is not falling. Hoefully if that starts to fall, it will open up the lane a bit more if they have to respect his shot. Now they are almost daring him to shoot.

His shot is horrendous. He his is like Dwight Howard trying to shoot a free throw.

what bothered me the most was how Nene dunked on him EZ like twice.
Right from the start, there were plenty of plays which he got lit up, and offered no help defense.
With Lawson or whoever penetrating, with no HELP at all.

I did like how he was trying to lead by example by, working the ball, and earning a step for Fields, TD, or whoever.
He wants to get his team mates better looks and realizes both Melo and himself playing ISO basketball is going to kill the team.
Melo doesn't sound like hes interested in ever changing his game or sincerely accepting fault.
He is admitting that he missed shots that he should have hit, take maybe less hots?

Seriously, this is exactly why I would rather have Gallo and Wilson Chandler, not to mention Felton/MosGoV, and a FA signing this summer.
Amare needs to take some pride of defense and work it out with Tyson CHandler, not rely on him to make the play.
He is at least trying to adapt, to Melo, and do things to try to help the team as a whole.
With Jorts out, we don't have a stretch 4-5, to help things out for the 2nd unit that is already not very productive to begin with, aside from yesterday.

I do believe that Stat is trying to move the ball (needs to try on defense too_ and he is a really good guy but he does seem to be on a steep decline. While Melo, he can still be a beast if he was not such a dick.
