Mike Woodson takes over, the team experiences a surge of motivation and picks up some amount of wins; the fans are happy and they build Woodson up into a King and spit all over D'Antoni and his legacy, telling you that, of course, they knew he was a bum coach and he should never be hired again.

The Knicks stumble into the playoffs and maybe win a series, maybe not, and they start next season with Big Energy and good feelings.

The team sputters somewhere before the All-Star break and they hobble their way to something like 45 wins. The good feelings are spent.

Five years later we're looking at the Melo days in an uglier light than we see the Marbury era. The trade a failure and we are on to our next rebuilding project, this time pledging to "do it right".

Woodson's offense consisted of giving the ball to Joe Johnson and crossing his fingers. Similar to Melo iso ball.

Yea, but solely based on some level of relief, or whatever the feeling will be, the Knicks will probably win a few games.

I obviously don't expect it to last.

I nominate for lamest post of all time.

WTF do you hope to achieve with this kind of negativity?

Just...misguided imo. Adaptation is always possible. We have assets at the very least.

If that happens, it would be a blessing in disguise for us. That would mean, Thibbs would be available.

I don't intend to come off as negative.

But what's going on is ugly. It's true, adaptation is always possible, but some things that are going on right now should never be going on, regardless.

The vibe is terrible and I am merely recognizing it.

I can be positive, of course, but at some point the brain will recognize that it is bashing its head into a brick wall.

I hear you. But the sky isn't falling. There is a chemistry problem and a coach needs to address it. That's all.

I agree, man, the problem might be a simple one, but the solution will not be so simple.

I feel some heavy clouds above our brains right now, they are hanging over the team. I didn't get this feeling when we were 3-8 last year.

I don't think that I am the only one here that senses something ugly in the near future.
