"tired of the nonsense" = will your team to win. MELO IS PLAYING IN THE GAME. do something on the court instead of talking trash to a guy who torched us all night, getting stupid fouls (pushing bogut after getting a defensive stop down by 9, should've got an and-1 called on that jennings 3 to ice the game, etc).
please. stop defending this guy. he is a total loser, a selfish prima donna who doesn't have a clue what it takes to be successful at this level. cheapshotting the other team and then talking trash to a guy who torched us all night to get tossed with 5 minutes to play is QUITTING ON YOUR TEAM it is not "showing some fire" LOL please, you've gotta be kidding me!!
How does he quit on the team when he lead the Knicks in scoring in the 4th quarter?! He was the only one to knock Jennings on his ass after he lit us up. Seen Oakley and Mason do the same thing plenty of times. Knock the opposition down and then get sent to the showers early. Its clear your dislike for Melo is personal. How do yu questin another mans injury? Hoe do you know what s going on in his household/family? What does his wifes tv show have to do with anything? Whats the point of bringing that up?!
LOL come on. its personal in that the knicks traded a third of their team to get him and he shows no leadership. mason and oakley were henchmen; ewing never cheapshotted people out of the game.
the problem with this team is a leadership void. i hang that on melo since he wanted the max extension and demanded a trade to get here in the first place. you set the tone by playing hard, playing good D, by making the extra pass. yea melo gets 35 points, congrats, we all know the guy can fill it up. but show me one instance of him being a leader. i've been to two games this year and while chandler and stat are hi-fiving ppl when they are on the bench and up and clapping, melo just sits there.
when the going gets tough, melo gets going...as in gets himself tossed out of the game.
RE: the injury -- kobe got hit out of the air and fell like 8' on his wrist. he's playing with a way worse injury. did you watch the game where he hurt his foot? i know foot injuries are hard to gauge but he hardly tweaked it and hadn't played hard at all that game, it was like he thought "oh ok i tweaked my ankle thats it for me" and he WALKED himself back to the locker room. how bad of an ankle injury could it have been.
"family issues" who knows what they are but it'd be nice to see the guy taking questions and being accountable instead of ducking out early.
those are all secondary though. what i have seen over and over again has been a guy that just doesn't really care about W's and L's. he gets his 30+ points and he's a great scorer, but the D effort comes and goes, the desire to get other teammates involved comes and goes. its gotta be there every night if you're gonna make a boatload of money after costing a boatload of prospects.
