The Heat game last night is good example of how this team should be built next year.

Wade didnt play but they got great support from the rest of the team. They actually had bench production. Nothing spectacular but production none the less. Oh and they have PG's that dont turn the ball over.

We dont need a team full of start but solid consistency would go a long way.

Anubis, both Wade and LeBron are superior to Melo, and Chris Bosh has moved himself ahead of Amar'e. I used to think Amar'e could whoop Boshs ars, but that's being put to past. If you want to compete with the Heat, then trade Melo for Howard (B/c Amar'e wont do it) and when they raise their value, put Amar'e and Chandler on the block and see what you can get. If not, then you are much more likely to compete.

I dont think we're that bad.

Sadly we need Amare and our support case to step up or we need to trade some spare parts.

So Close but So Far

The blueprint is in Donnie Walsh's suit jacket, hanging in a closet in Indiana.

Trade Melo for Howard? Then start Dwight, Tyson and StAT? You think we have spacing issues now? Amare's production will drop to a third of his current abysmal levels.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

The BIGGEST problem with Miami's blueprint is $$$$$$$$.
Their top 3 combined is making LESS than what our top two are making.
How do you propose to fix THAT?
Reworking those fat and selfish contracts is one answer.
But, do you really think that's feasible to these egocentric players of ours?
Therein lies the basic reason why we're screwed.
Melo deserves Dolan and vice-versa.....and WE deserve better.

You can't come to the conclusion that Bosh is better than Stat after 14 games of the season. Stoudemire was far superior last season and is still this season, the numbers just haven't reflected that yet.

Miami plays defense.

The Knicks don't.

You fire D'antoni, this blueprint seems more realistic.

I heard they wanted a center and were pursing chandler. Ellis was on the block. They get a center that plays defense and a good talent in Shumpert not to mention it makes them better defensively like Mark Jackson wants.

How about we stop being so flippin' impatient and build around the core we have....The core is here, we just need more depth....Patience people....

Your right dude. Amare and Melo are not ball stoppers. That's just a term that has been thrown around with no substance. Amare doesn't look slower and less explosive than last season

Amare keeps himself in great shape. Let's not forget he has sustained an injury this season too. He may not be fully healed. Did you recently joined the board to complain about how much you hate this team? If so why claim to be a fan at all? And how did you feel when this team was amongst the worst in the league the past 8 years?

I
Sorry Amare is perfect. Have you seen how his defense and rebounding has improved? I was saying the same thing about Curry and Marbury. But now we have two guys making max money and we are worst than Cleveland. At least when we sucked I knew we were supposed to suck. This time around we have Melo and Amare. I was excited last season but the more I watch this team play the more it just one on one Iso. Contested shots. Amare not hitting any more of those jumpers he used to knock down. 28 % ? When he shot 40 percent from beyond 12 feet last season. No longer beating his man off the dribble. Oh and Melo with the Heroin ball. Bad shot after bad shot from both these guys.

Will be fun to see what bone you'll be after when D'Antony will have been fired and you'll discover that MElo doesn't defend cause he just doesn't want to, whatever the coach.

KNICKSBIGCATS nailed it right on the head.
Miami's big 3 made sacrifices to play together, the Knicks sacrified everything to get MElo.
Huge difference.
