Yes,I'm dissapointed with a 6-8 start things could be worse. We're 4 games back in the Atlantic and the 8th seed in the East. Whereas our huge problem in years past as been crap defense the problem now is crap offense. It can and I feel it will be corrected.

STAT and Melo have, for the most part, played like crap. Lately, if STAT is on Melo is off and vice versa. I don't think it's a matter of them not being able to play together, it's more of shots not falling and forcing things. 2 games under .500 sucks but there is hope. These guys are not going to play like this all year.

SHUMP - This kid may have been the steal of the draft considering he's also 3rd in the NBA in steals per game.
JORTS - Solid D and a sweet stroke.

Fields played well last night and carried the team at one point. He was moving without the ball and driving to the basket. If he can get a consistant game back we're in a good position.

Baron will be back in a few weeks. This teams need a PG and half of what Baron used to be will be good enough to be the floor general of this team. Shump has shown flashes and when he becomes our starting 2 we have Fields to sub in for Melo, we can slide Shump to the 1 and TD to the 2.

Chandler is as advertised. He palys solid D, blocks shots and rebounds and is getting his 1 steal per game.

It's been a dissapointing start but with offense being a problem I'm not overly concerned. They just need to move the ball and space the floor better and we'll be fine. Melo is a bit banged up and shooting 41%. He is a better shooter than what we've seen thus far. STAT is a 53% career shooter but hitting at a 40% clip right now as he's forcing things. Our 2 studs will get back to normal and we will go on a run.

After being embarrased last night I predict a W on Friday. We will have a winning season and make a run in the playoffs. Sure we're Knicks fans and it's easy to be down in the dumps and have the normal "We Suck" syndrome but we don't suck, we're just not playing the way we can at this point.

I agree with you, it's not Stoudemire and Melo's inability to play together. People need to stop assuming they don't mesh. We need shooting to stretch the floor and of course we need a PG. We have neither. You add one or both of those things and you see a dramatic difference. Both players are working too hard for shots, they need spacing and the ability to finish plays. They can't run the pick and roll effectively and one reason is the lack of shooting allows defenses to prevent it early.
