I hear Phoenix is planning on cutting Clark after they got him from Utah. I think he's a better pick-up than Baker as of right now. We probably won't be able to get Doleac back because Denver is probably going to claim him, but Clark is 28 and could bring some great athletism and shot-blocking to the team. My only concern is his health but i think we should sign him if we can. Thoughts?

i would really like that. It's just that Baker can score in the post off the bench. I'll be happy with either one.

Keon Clark would be a very athletic presence on the Knicks and would add to the overall younger, better, more athletic Knicks that Isiah wants. His shot blocking was very good and, if given time on the court, he get boards and points. If we can get him for not much, then i say go for it. Much better than Baker.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I don't think Clark has played a game all season....when healthy though he would be a nice addition to our team.

if clark is healthy we should pick him up. i remember two years ago when carter was out ( things never change) clark took over and helped the raptors make it to the playoffs. he did well playing under wilkens'system and i think he could flourish here. it would be an unbelievable pickup. downside: he lacks work-ethic and peer relation is not great. he is also injury-prone. it will retard the progress of sweetney more as he will be thrust back into the ir for awhile.

I also recall Keon saying during his FA summer that he absolutely did not want to play for the Knicks. :) He's a nice Camby-type of player--- but it looks like he's joined the Camby/Ratliff club for constant injuries.

IMO he is way better than camby. He has a few moves, camby has none.

I thought Keon was set to return sometime soon even though he has yet to play this season. I remember him not wanting to play in NY because of the temperature, but i think being cut might change his mind and make him want to play wherever he gets a chance. Even if we don't get him for more than this season, he would still help maybe get us a little further in the playoffs and then he can walk after the season if he wants. I don't think it will affect us too much.
