(with sincere apologies to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.)

Nope, this is not a game thread, but it could be. Orlando is coming to town and the Magic will NOT be any less a struggle than the Thunder. We are a fragile roster with some fragile parts. That much is fact.

We may not see the results of the Carmelo/ Stoudemire axis until March, at the earliest. That projection is based on Baron Davis having "on-court" time with this brand new remix. Davis' integration into the rotation will have bright moments, and - like any new relationship, it will have its problems.

Until then, this week, in particular, is a test for players and followers alike. It will not be pretty because our two stars are not built for the nightly punishment that stars attract, and neither have quality stunt men. Jared Jeffries and Bill Walker are not an answer to any question.

So, where are we as fans? We are in a helpless place where placing blame can range from the coach, to the Dolans and all the way to that thing which dogs the franchise from the beginning of time - impatience.

Did someone say reality check?

Amar'e ain't being traded because no franchise WANTS to break their bank for an uninsured contract.
Baron Davis' back may NEVER be ready for 5 games in seven nights.
If the Nuggets visit to the Garden on Saturday night gets out of hand, we will hear the visiting team cheered loudly.

Tough days is putting it lightly.

I will not lie to you, friends: I can't wait for Gallo to visit the Garden and make it rain. But I hope Knicks win, of course.

Do not be shocked if it gets much uglier before it gets better, but this is temporary and if I'm putting the cash money on it, I'll tell you that the Knicks will be one of the strongest teams in the league over the last two months of the season. You can bet on that.

Misterearl,
I truly believe that if the Nuggets come into the garden and rout us....
which I could see happening.....
it will be the catalyst that sends Mr. Pringles packing.

One can only hope.

Why are the knicks fan going to cheer for the nuggets???

You guys are too much, the knick fans are going to cheer for Gallo and mozgoz because????

How does this delusion of the Knuggets still have in legs in you guys minds when only 2 players are on the nuggets from the trade and they play about 35-40 minutes for the team combined??? SMH

I telltale, we'll be all old and retired somewhere, posting the same stuff everytime the Nuggets play us: " Oh, that Gallo, what could have been if we traded Fields instead" and " Mozgov is really showing flashes of brilliance, we should have held on to him"

The Answer Man Rarely Gets Misty

Q. Anji - Why are the knicks fan going to cheer for the nuggets?

A. Not at the start. Except during player introductions for Gallo. Any substitute cheers will be an expression of frustration if the Knicks fall behind by more than 20.

You heard it here first.

We've got some difficult days ahead and D'antonio might not get there with us.

You're possibly right but he was not responsible for the trade. Now he has a team with players he can't coach so he should go anyway, we are not a MDA team. Let'see how he will try to right the ship but chanches are he won't be succeed. Melo and Chandler are not MDA players and we'll need another coach

Care to define what an MDA player is?

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Plus, they did not give away half of their team. They acquired 90 guys from NY that had all played together and combined them with 90 guys in Denver that had alreayd played together. They could throw all the Knicks out there together and those guys knew how to work together because they had for a while. They just had to incorporate that cohesive group into their already cohesive group. They then kept the majority of that team together and had them come back this year to learn and grow together some more.

We traded our entire team for two players. We got rid of our second, third and fourth best players as well as our up and coming starting center. Guys that sat on the bench all year all of a sudden are being thrust in to the spotlight to replace them. Those bench players that didn't mesh with anyone all year because they weren't playing were now trying to mesh with 2 new guys from Denver that did not know our system and frankly did not fit our system. Then after 30 or so games we took all of those players and got rid of most of them and replaced them with 9 new players, thus starting over AGAIN.

To compare the two scenarios and somehow try to justify that they are the same is ridiculous.

I just hope that people will like me
