The Knicks made no trades Thursday but brought in a superstar to practice, one who always wanted to play for them.By LIZ ROBBINS

You'll have the PG/Center NY coach connection: Wilkens(Bklyn) and Abdul-Jabber(NYC)

One of the most intelligent human beings out there.. Can't believe he isn't a coach. Joining the Knicks would only make it sweeter!!

Having Kareem with the Knicks, working with the big men is a good pickup. Isiah is putting a think-tank together containing several wise basketball minds. Hall of Famers. Winners. Mostly cats from NY or near it, who always dreamed of helping the Knicks win a Championship.

I like what Messiah Thomas is doing...
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Every single move IT has made since he's been here has shown alot of thought and intelligence behind it...
Kareem was a great idea...
I'd hate to say it but I'd much rather have him working with Sweetney, Harrington, and Nazre... than Ewing.. lol

"This is a great feeling," he said. "I started watching pro basketball in Madison Square Garden, was born and raised in Manhattan. When I was in grade school I had dreams of playing for the Knicks. It never worked out like that. I almost thought I could be a territorial draft pick and they ended all that before I even got into college.

comments made by Kareem Abdul Jabbar formerly Lew Alcindor...

WOW, anyone who can ball and is from NY, wants to play for the prestigous franchise,New York knicks..

From the old days of Kareem,Lenny,Connie hawkins to the present of marbury, Kenny A. Lamar Odom, Tinsley, Artest. NY is a Holy and Special place..

GOOD POINT CORE
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Kareem is super smart and a class act. He can't do anything but help. Love this move.

I never knew that he wanted to play in NY all those years. Wish IT had been our GM back then ... sure he would have figured out a way to bring him home to play.

yea i think odom would want to be a knick if IT was in last year, and Riley had already quit on him. Riley really screwed odom over with that bs retirement move.
