Rasheed is considering a comeback. Would you want to add him to our cast of characters.

Plusses - veteran scoring off the bench, coach loves 3s

Minuses - time away from Jorts, head case waiting to happen

He would curse half of the garden out before he's done....he couldn't take the losing, the fans booing, or the coach yelling shoot the ball

one of my favorite players from back in the day. but that was many many many days ago.

love, sheed. both teams fought hard. god bless and good night.

kmart is coming anyway and he's a better fit for melo. and can still play.

I would rather have Sheed, because he's not KMart.

Knicks need time, so do the young players. People are acting like 6-5 and the sky is falling

We could use him but I think if he has the foot speed like Jorts, it wouldn't be exactly what we want.
Back in the day, he would be our best post player and probably still will be 2nd after Melo.
However, in his last days in Boston, he didn't want to post up and just spot up for mainly 3s.

I have mixed feelings about Rasheed, we have to see how he moves and plays before we can really evaluate it...
Again, who is our 2.5m going to go to?
Ak47 said the other day he hopes to return to the NBA, next year, if the price is right.
SO I guess he isn't looking to make a return this year after Euro league ends?

I always loved Sheed, wanted him more than say RonRon, but he may be too old at this point, he can still be a good defender in the post though. not sure he can be effective on offense any more.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

its not that i don't like him, I loved him back in Portland and his early years in Detroit.
But that was a lot of years ago, from what I saw last from him on Boston, he wasn't the same player.
He was strictly a 3point shooter that lost a step and that was 2 years ago.
If he can post up a little and was younger, in his years of Detroit and Portland, I would love him.
But I don't think he has the speed, quickness, athleticism, and at his age the ability to play the PF.
The PF to play with Tyson Chandler and Center when Amare is in.

At his age, is he actually an upgrade over Jorts?
Is he any faster even faster/quicker than Jorts?
Can he play the PF?
Can he still defend like he once did in Detroit?
He is like 37 or 38 now and Ben Wallace still looks ripped but isn't even a little intimidating...

Ak47 is a player I would rather have than Rasheed.
I think his length, speed, agility and defensive intensity/pride would pair up with Tyson Chandler quite well.
Ak47's main abilities are to play defense, steal, and block shots throughout his career.
His secondary skills include passing the ball, rebounding, and scoring on put backs.
He isn't a great 3 point shooter but hits about 30% and doesn't take many, in 2-3 area.
He is versatile, in his point of his career, he is probably better playing the PF/C, vs SF at his age.
I am sure he has loss a step and athleticism but can still be useful for stretches.

At 2.5m for 2 years, team or player option, I can't find a better player that is a UFA, after the Euroe-League ends...
I read yesterday or the day before, that his agent on twitter said, Ak47 is looking to return to the NBA next year for the right price.
Does anyone know if he got hurt or something?

I like Kirilenko too, but I haven't seen him play in ages. From what I remember, Kirilenko>Kmart

AK didn't get hurt; he did not want to leave his Russian team mid-season, so he will finish there.

He is a strong, versatile player who still has some years of good baskets left.

Next season he will be at a point in his career where he does not need to prove much nor score too many points, so he will provide some lock down, some shot swat, and he can run the floor with you.

He is strong on offense, too, if you need this from him.

Just checked, and Kirilenko is only 30 years old, going on 31. If he is healthy, he should still be close to his prime as a big guy. Remember that at his peak, he was almost in an MVP conversation, at least Fantasy-basketball-wise, due to his ability to fill up the stat sheet and not do anything badly. He is an unselfish team player and should be good for any team.

He's a guy that does everything well. And I think it speaks well of his character that he will finish the Russian season rather than leaving his team in the middle of a campaign.

Look at this description of CSKA's last game, from their official website:

The first minutes of the game in Vilnius can be treated as a joke if you look at the final stat sheet. Vilnius fans had several moments of joy before CSKA took control and destroyed the opponent.

Imagine that on the official Knicks page?
