The difference in playing under control is staggering.

The difference in on court communication is better. He is around the ball and makes good things happen.

Shumpert. Fields. Anthony. Stoudemire. Chandler.

Hit the open man.

Shumpert KNOWS intuitively where to make the pass. Once he gets comfortable, watch out.

Bear in mind, he is still coming off a knee injury and probably holding back the entire bag of tricks for fear of doing damage.

Once he learns where his frontcourt podnuhs want the ball...

Be still my heart.

I agree. I'm a proud Shump fanboy. Outside of his love for shooting. He is a all around player.

You gotta love it to make the shot. Shooting is over rated.

Did you notice Shumpert directing traffic off the dribble like a seasoned veteran?

The man knows how to assert himself and that can only be a good thing.

It's called leadership.

Shump takes control of the offense. He's always giving directions.

He should start at PG.

That pass to Chandler in the first half was scintillating and mesmerizing (channeling my inner Clyde)

Now everyone sees the kid has real talent. I think now a few more fans are on board with us guys that were on the bandwagon from the start. The kid is just getting started, wait til he actually learns the game more.

Makes the Bibby and Davis signing even stronger. They can teach him lots of things.

The next idiot, on national television, that reflexively boos a Knicks draft selection for the cameras, gets no love.

martin - you get the feeling this line will be a long one?

Man that's a scary thought too. His defense is already unreal, must've been at least 10 balls he had deflected or almost stolen no joke (he had 5 steals). You give him a full training camp and look out! Minimum Russell Westbrook Maximum D-Wade (Hopefully)

OK so the shump love is waay over the top here. But I thought the kid showed that he can indeed make passes and direct tthe traffic. He seems to have bit of DRose in him. Not that Rose will ever even scratch the surface of the defense this kid has.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I called it from the start....Reminds me of a young D-Wade. It wasn't just his talent and skills that did it for me. It was his confidence that tipped the scale. You need that kind of swag in the NBA. And to have it as a rookie is nice.

This is a good system for him to shine on both ends. And playing 37 mins, he will get lots of PT under , because he's just trying to save his own job. He will play the best players 30+ minutes a night.......Injuries will be out biggest enemy.

I also love his shot selection. He's just a streaky shooter! I have no problem with that, because he brings other in-tangles to the game. His court vision with those down low passes and setting up Bibby for those 3's was very nice.....Remember, he did play PG at Georgia Tech.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

That ain't fair. MDA has played rookies. See Fields. See Jorts. See Gallo. See Mozgov.
