Apparently Anthony's ill timed 3 at the end of the Charlotte game was really the result of a botched play. At least this article seems to indicate Douglas botched the play and Carmelo covered for him.

Makes sense, as the Melo's shot seemed a little bit early and quick, and TD did mess up on that set play. Denver Melo probably throws TD under the bus, but NY Melo showing a little more leadership and maturity.

So its a new season, new players, Chandler had just a few practices with the team, and NYK is panic city.

We are all quick to panic, but we have to do our best to realize there are 60 games left. Might not end up with the 40+ win season we were hoping but as long as we are comfortably in the playoffs all will be fine. We are one of the most dangerous playoff teams regardless of our seeding and everyone in the league knows it.

No one is saying a team with Melo and Stat and little else is a favorite to beat the Heat, i am just saying a team like Orlando, Indy, Atl, Boston, etc does not want to meet Melo and Stat in the first round of the playoffs. Neither do the Heat or the Bulls. Regardless of the lack of depth, a team with Melo and Stat is extremely dangerous in a playoff series.

This is true and especially by that time in the season when the team will have better chemistry and hopefully B. Diddy will be playing. If he is playing well by then this team will look a lot different.
