I have many complaints about this coach but I'll limit it to a few here...

How about pulling TD aside while on the court and coach him...Tell him to continue to be aggressive but take shots only within the flow of the game...He never coaches anyone during the game...How about telling him to stop the dumb fouls that kills the flow...TD has zero head out there and it reflects on the team...Maybe he is just resigned to TD being a lost case at PG but he still has to coach...

How about not letting a rook to pull up two times on a break for a jumper...LB would have flipped...Shump is a little out of control now but hears nothing from the coach...He puts him back in the game after the crowd calls for it...Does he have his own game plan???..Amazing..Big mistakes and misplays this coach has no comments about during the game..6 times in the first half there were obvious defensive lapses and only one time out called close to the end of the second quarter...

Granted the Bobcats shot out of their minds and those nights can happen...But MDA is just lost if his system isn't in full play...Our back court is just out of control...TD is just out of control...Fields is lost...Shump has flashes but has to play under control...Bibby was done 3 years ago...Lin is not an NBA player..

MDA has to earn his big paycheck and coach during the game as well...

To be fair to Antoni, he hasn't had to do ANYTHING to earn his big paycheck up to this point so why start now?
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

I think MDA might be mailing it in this year - he maybe knows that without Walsh around, he either isn't going to be here next year, or he doesn't want to, given the garbage that Dolan is.

He mailed it in in 09-10, and the Knicks didn't even use advance scouting until last year. The only problem with mailing it in this year is that this has become Grunwald's team and the move for Tyson was a win now move. Grunwald doesn't have to spend his entire career with the Knicks trying to make the hiring of D'Antoni not look like a mistake.

Strike shortened seasons are weird anyway. I remember the Nets fired Cal and he seemed like he was changing the culture there. I can't remember everyone that left but I believe he lost a couple of his locker room guys, Sherm Douglas and some other vet leaders. I don't know if D'Antoni has the support in the locker that he did last year. A bunch of young guys with a strong vet leader that is behind the coach is much easier to work with then big egos, big expectations, and differing views about the coach.

But he is getting a top notch PG in 2018 so let us just wait until then cause it's not his fault
