This is probably when we'll start seeing how the 2012 Knicks really look.
When experts said it was going to be a bumpy ride for NY, we quickly said this was NY bias and we didn't believe it. I think its time to smell the coffee, If some haven't already.
Truth is we have the pieces to compete for a championship. When you can throw a lineup with Baron Davis, Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler, you can have big dreams. But one of those pieces, Davis, the PG that we sorely lack, hasn't played yet and when he comes back he will need time to get going.
For whatever reason, this team is struggling mightly with consistency. Offense doesn't flow well and defense is as bad as it's been in the last seasons. This won't change soon, like it or not. Players still battling injuries (we just got Shump and Amar'e back) will hurt continuity. Our coaching staff, loveit or hate it, seems to have a hard time getting the roster in the sam page and as in other seasons, we keep being slow starters.
If everything goes according to pln with Davis and the team finally starts getting the system, we might have enough time to get out of the hole we will probably be in record-wise. If they can hang in and be with playoff positioning, this could really be a team that takes others by surprise, al '90.
Try to survive the road to that last week, beause it will really be bumpy. They will drive everybody insane, mor than now, but com the last week, we may have great goals again.
